Project Summary

It is RFID based parking system that will detect a Car through RFID scanner. The car will contain RFID passive card. It is an RFID based system which scans the card and stores the information into database, provides computer generated reports daily, weekly, Monthly. It is an efficient system which is not very expensive and it is not yet installed in Pakistan’s parking systems. It is resemblance with the M-Tag system Installed on Pakistan motorway with some changes being made in it. Because Nowadays in many public places such as malls, universities, Institutes, multiplex systems, hospitals, offices, market areas there is a crucial problem of car parking. The car-parking area has many lanes/slots for car parking. So to park a car one has to look for all the lanes. There are many complications to find a parking for your car, person have to do great efforts to find park and to search for a parking much time is consumed for searching parking we have to check every lane and corner in mall and universities markets and other areas. However there is a need to develop an automated parking system that indicates directly the availability of vacant parking slots in any lane right at the entrance. It involves a system including RFID reader and Tag in each lane and a display outside the car parking gate. So the person desirous to park his vehicle is well informed about the status of availability of parking slot. Conventional parking systems do not have any storing the entry exit time in database and report generating for a specifically how much car enters parking and exits.

Project Objectives

I want to convert the manual car parking system system into computerized car parking system System.

Automating the available slots in parking.

The system is going to store the registration details of the vehicle.

The system will also keep a count of how many times the vehicle has been in and out of the parking.

My aim is to made that system at less price and commercialize my project.

Project Implementation Method

  • Prototype:

I will make a prototype for initial phase which has RFID reader connected with database and reads the RFID cards which is installed on cars fully functional and install in my own institute im|sciences car Parking for initial testing.

Benefits of the Project

  • The system stores details of vehicles.

  • Registered cars.

  • System will let you know about the capacity of the lot.

  • Stores entry and exit time of a car.

  • It can process and gives us report.

 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

  • Through this system the car will be detected using the RFID scanner.

  • The car will contain RFID Passive card.

  • The car’s information will be added to the databases after scanning process. The information will contain car’s entry/exit time, Owner’s name and Car Id number.

  • Daily, weekly and Monthly report will be generated based on this information.

  • Electronic led screen installed for showing free slots.
