Project Summary

A prototype of smart animal health monitoring system based on IoT for real time monitoring of the physiological parameters such as body temperature, heart rate and rumination with surrounding temperature and humidity has been developed. Various sensors mounted on the body of animals gives the information related to their health status and user can be easily access those data using the internet. We have used Arduino Uno as core controller which has inbuilt Wi-Fi, it processes the data sensed by various sensor and displays on the monitor and forwards to the cloud. Benfits of our project

Real time health monitoring is important for animals. Most of the areas in Pakistan real time monitoring is almost impossible due to lack of awareness of technological benefits. It is difficult to measure animal blood pressure, temperature and heart rate in real time by applying old traditional methods.

In villages it is difficult to trace an animal in the fields. However it is important to develop and manage an IoT based module which can measure not only animal health parameters but also aware from environmental monitoring with animal location tracing.

The location tracing and environmental monitoring can be measure by deploying sensors and upload information over cloud by connecting Wi-Fi Module.

Most of animal farmers guess can be dangerous for animal health for this automated update information can help farmer to inform immediately to the Doctor for the treatment. The cloud computing and IoT can improve the better treatment and animal diagnose. It can also improve the history based knowledge of animals having some past diseases. In this regard computer based methods can improve important diagnose of animals when it became so critical and some one can easily accessible,
