Project Summary

Internet is one of the basic luxury for daily living. Every person is using the facts and information on internet. On the other hand, blind people face difficulty in accessing the text resources. The development in computer based handy systems has opened up numerous opportunities for the visually disabled across. Audio response based virtual environment the screen readers are helps blind people a lot to use internet applications. This project introduces the Voicemail system structural design that can be used by a blind person to access E-Mails easily. The involvement of research is helping blind individual to send and receive voice based mails messages in their inhabitant language with the help of a computer.

Project Objectives

1: Project Objectives: The main advantage of this system is that use of keyboard is   completely eliminated the user will have to respond through voice only.

2: Interactive Voice Response (IVR): Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology that allows a computer to interact with humans through the use of voice and DTMF tones input via a keypad.

3 Speech Recognition Speech recognition is the inter-disciplinary sub-field of computational linguistics that develops methodologies and technologies that enables the recognition and translation of spoken language into text by computers.

The main feature of this whole system will be the facilitate the blind and special person as much as possible so they can compete real world and use the technology as per their specialty.  They don’t need to use keyboard as all of the work will be at their own voice and if they have to use keyboard, their will be minnow use.

Project Implementation Method

Every instance of Recognizer class has seven methods for recognizing speech from speaker source using various APIs:

recognize_bing (): Used in “Microsoft Bing Speech”

recognize_google(): Used in “Google Web Speech API”

recognize_google_cloud(): Used in “ Google Cloud Speech”-requires installation of the google-cloud-speech package

recognize_houndify(): Used in “Houndify by Sound Hound”

recognize_ibm(): Used in “IBM Speech to Text”

recognize_sphinx(): Used in CMU Sphinx-requires installing Pocket Sphinx

recognize_wit(): Used in “Wit.ai”

  Primary Techniques

Primary data were collected by means of systematically prepared for to get information about drugs  and   add  some  counseling  techniques  for  drug  addict  people.

Secondary Techniques Document Analysis

This technique gives us the information on how the existing system works.

These for documents related to the existing system of the organization will be evaluated.

System Analysis and Design Techniques

In this project, we will use Object Oriented System development methodology (OOSD) for design.

This technique has several phases some of them are:

Object Oriented Analysis (OOA)

We  will  use  this   phase  to   model   the  function  of  system  and  identifying  the  relation between them.

Object Oriented Design (OOD)

In this phase, we will use the software to clarify the model of our project.

Tools Software:

  1. Android Studio & Visual Code
  2. MySQL / MySQL
  3. Windows / Linux

Hardware Requirements for Software Development

  1. Computer  System  with  minimum 4GB RAM, Intel  core, 1.7 GHz
  2. Processor, 64 bit  operating  system.
  3. Smart phone that run Android System

Benefits of the Project

For people who can see, e-mailing is not a big deal, but for people who are not blessed with gift of vision it postures a key concern because of its intersection with many vocational responsibilities. This voice based email system has great application as it is used by blind people as they can understand where they are. E.g. whenever cursor moves to any icon on the website say Register it will sound like “Register Button”. There are many screen readers available. But people had to remember mouse clicks. Rather, this project will reduce this problem as mouse pointer would read out where he/she lies. This system focuses more on user friendliness of all types of persons including regular persons, visually compromised people as well as illiterate.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project is proposed for the betterment of society. This project aims to help the visually impaired people to be a part of growing digital India by using internet and also aims to make life of such people quite easy. Also, the success of this project will also encourage developers to build something more useful for visually impaired or illiterate people, who also deserves an equal standard in society.

  3. Equality in terms of technology.
