The persons using the proposed treadmill design will be able to burn their fats along with the generation of clean energy. The proposed treadmill will be connected with a power generation system and will be basically converting the mechanical energy (produced by athletes running on a treadmill) to electrical energy. Thus, overall this system will be solving at the same instant challenges of “health and well-being” and “clean energy production”. It is also worth noticing that the generated energy amount is quite some and can be efficiently used for running low power applications
Project Objectives- To utilize the mechanical energy produced by the gym users which otherwise gets wasted.
- Efficient and cheap electricity
- Our initial idea was to design and build entirely new exercise machines with generators attached to them. But the owners of exercise clubs didn't want to buy all new equipment, so we decided to build a power-producing modification instead.
- Displaying the production of electricity in an efficient way by using a smart mirror
In this project, we are developing a system in which we are converting human energy into electrical energy by using a series of components which will include motors, connecting belts, voltage stabilizing capacitors, convertors, etc.
When a person runs on a treadmill, the potential energy of that person is converted into kinetic energy in the form of rotations of the rollers of the treadmill. That rotational energy will be converted into electrical energy in our project.

- This will be a standalone system that will produce 100W power without any harm to nature.
- This system will be comprised of a Black-Box and an innovative display panel.
- The Black-Box can be easily attached to any treadmill and at the output of this, you will get 100W power which can be either stored in batteries or can be utilized to run low-power domestic loads.
- The innovative display panel which we named SMART MIRROR will provide the figures of generated voltage, current, and power in real-time.
