ABSTRACT:
Wireless power transmission is all about the transference of power without using wires. The efficient midrange power can be transmitted to any device which uses that range of power by the technique that is used in this project. Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) is process of transferring power from one circuit on to another without passing through any man made conductive elements interconnecting them. There are two kinds of the WPT technologies: near field technique and far field technique. Near field technique uses inductive coupling, resonance inductive coupling and air ionization. Far field techniques can be achieved through microwave power transmission and LASER power transmission. However, the efficiency is low as of now and researchers have progressed less in this field to materialize the commercial technology. Thus we have covered the possible ways to harness the power without wires from many researches carried out so far. The advantages, disadvantages, biological impacts and its applications are presented.
INTRODUCTION:
Wirelss power transmission is very important in this era.As we know that interconnections of wires creates hazard and give loss to to our power system.With wireless electricity , efficiency is the more significant parameter.We also use slayer circuit (or air cored transformer) which is self resonating tesla coilthat produces high amount of voltage . It resonates itself without complicated circuitry at same high voltage and frequency oscillating waves.It is deemed as powerful hardware based design that gives exposure of power transmission with combinztion of electrical and electronics principle.Circuit parameter determines wirelss power transmission over close vicinity .Our project is capable of lighting up fluorescent bulbs , light emitting diodes, neon light bulbs by electromagnetic field around the coil.The tesla transformer , which is considered to be fascinating device and is capable of creating spectacular effects by generating high voltages pulses with several megavolts of amplitude.Electrical discharge is also emitted easily by it and it extends for several meters and remind natural lightning. Tesla transformer is now a days very known more than a century to scientific research and also used in several applications.
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
The main idea behind wireless power transfer using slayer exciter circuit with tesla coil is to get rid of landscape wires ,cables and transmitting towers.The project is also helful in avoiding power theft, power failure due to short circuit and fault on cables and transmission.Our project also highlights inefficient forms of power transmission.
Following are the main objectives of this research:
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
STEP#01:Firsly,when we turn on circuit, R drives the base of transistor Q.
STEP#02: Q turns on and drives current into primary of transformer.
STEP#03: the created magnetic field drives the secondary of transformer.
STEP#04: Secondary voltage wants to grow large .but small stray capacitance on the output resists the change.
STEP#05:Diode D prevents base voltage to fall more than 0.7v below ground, which in turrn pushes the output of secondary high.
STEP#06:Transistor turn off and so magnetic field starts to reduce .
STEP#07: In last,the base voltage rises again and Q turns on and cycle repeats.
RESEARCH BENEFITS:
System would reduce cost of electrical energy used by consumer.
More efficient energy distribution systems and sources are needed by both developed and under developed nations.
No transmission and distribution losses due to wireless at any terrestrial distance.
