The Patient Monitoring System (PMS) is a very critical monitoring systems, it is used for monitoring physiological signals including Electrocardiograph (ECG), Respiration, Invasive and Non-Invasive Blood Pressure, Oxygen Saturation in Human Blood (SpO2), Body Temperature and other Gases etc. WBAN consists of multiple sensor nodes, each capable of sampling, processing, and communicating one or more vital signs (pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration rate temperature etc) these are characterized by their tiny size, portability and capability of data. Typically these sensors are placed strategically on the human body as tiny patches or hidden in users cloths. This offers the freedom of mobility and enhances the patient’s life. The architecture of the patient monitoring system (in hospital or at home) depends on the system design requirements. The proposed architecture, which is designed to monitor patient health in hospital, is based on four main sensors. The sensors information is collecting with the help of arduino. The collected information will be cross check with the critical situation thresholds. First doctors start to install the application. If the patient’s physical parameters is going to raises above the normal then it will send an alert to the doctor through application, first and medical staff for quick response. The health parameters are also updating on cloud server application via WIFI to maintain the log for history record.
The objectives of the this project are to detect patient’s health parameter through sensors. Pakistan is under developing country and it has many poor people and mostly people cant go to doctor again and again and cannot stay at hospitals for more time due to shortage money so this project can help them very easily by the help of this they did not go to hospitals and doctors again and again. They can checked by doctors by sitting at their homes. of check either parameter are above or below the critical condition.
The objectives of the this project are to develop such a network that provides a continuous monitoring over or inside human body for a long period and can support transmission of real time traffic such as data, voice, video to observe the status of vital organs functionalities. We have to develop a device that monitor the patient everywhere. The device that maintain real time log over internet for patient health history monitoring. The application to generate alert notification on time for doctor and staff if critical situation for emergency.
Wireless Body Area Network has gained considerable attention and became an emerging technology at health services due to its wide range of utilities and important role to improve the human health. The proposed system consists of different components, Pulse rate sensor which uses the optical technology to detect the flow of blood. Temperature sensor is used to measure the temperature from the body, Pressure sensor and pump setup uses to detect the blood pressure of the patient. Accelerometer is used to determine respiration rate of body. An arduino is used to collect and process the entire sensor’s data. There is a set threshold define in program to generate alert on the basis of sensors reading for hospital staff and doctor. There is a real time log also going to maintain on cloud of all sensors data to monitor the history if required. WIFI is going to use in this project to send data wirelessly over internet. Mobile application is using to notify doctors and staff alerts when needed.
