In the domain of HEP (hydroelectric power) different types of turbines are used for the production in bulk amount of power. World today is using this method to produce bulk power generation with dams.Majority of the turbines are dependent on the environmental factors i.e., stream flow, water head etc. which effects the efficiency of the turbine production. World has taken the direction of environmental independent condition for this domain so that they could control the production in with their respects.IN PIPE Hydro Turbine is developed which will be efficient and will be environmental independent by installing them in the water supply pipes.These turbines will be fitted inside the drinkable ater pipes.
Hydropower turbines mainly depends on environmental conditions. Where the proposed idea will not be depending on such environmental conditions as such turbines will be implemented in the drinkable water pipes which will be more efficient and reliable.Our Aim is to produce up to 1KW power form our concerned IN PIPE Turbines and to be free from the environmental impacts on generations.
The Turbine converts Mechanical energy from water flow and which rotates the rotor of the alternator which produces electric power as output.
The main goal of the present study is to enhance the performance of spherical rotor turbine.
The output from the alternator converted in to DC by bridge rectifier and stored in Battery.
From Battery Input it goes to Inverter which converts DC to AC with 50 Hz frequency as output given to Load.
The main components that will be used in the project are;
Spherical Turbine will be designed in such a manner that the pressure of water will rotate in up to our require RPM.An Alternator converts mechanical energy to electrical output.As per the conventional source, we would be required a low RPM Alternator design.
The output we hope to achieve is a production up to 1KW power in an efficient manner. With considering it’s durability, This could be implemented in any drinkable water pipe in standard size.The Turbine will be of 22 inches dia and will be fitted in 24 inches standard pipe size.
