The mentioned project, solar powered remote controlled and automated agricutter is basically a crop cutting machine that can work autonomously and manually using a remote control. The hardware is of aluminum body and has two shunt motors that are used for driving. Besides that, the blades are of adjustable heights thus a linear guide is designed to adjust the height of the blades. The height is adjusted with the help of stepper motor. To control all this mentioned mechanism a remote control is designed which uses RF transceiver. The crop cutter can operate in two modes; autonomous and user guided. The remote controlled driving is done by mapping the input of the joystick provided to the crop cutter. For autonomous, the user provides the dimensions of the field and the crop cutter stays within its boundaries. No similar project has been implemented in Pakistan so far.
The designed project aims to provide a simple, user friendly, environment friendly and low maintenance crop cutting machine. The designed agricutter can be charged easily using solar panel further reducing the operating costs. This will reduce the work load of the farmers and will provide them with a modern yet innovative method for cutting crops.

The project was started by identifying the problem and breaking it down. Appropriate research was done regarding the problem. Similar projects were searched as well. Research was done to find the appropriate solution to the problem.
The solution to the problem was identified. The components to be used were researched and finalized too. The work was divided among the team members and timeline was created.
The proposed solution was implemented. The group partners integrated their parts to solve each part of the problem.
The implemented parts were tested and it was ensured they were up to the mark.
The designed parts were integrated together and finally tested. Documentation for the project was also completed.

The designed project has an aluminum body and rubber tires. Stainless steel blades are used for cutting the crops. Two carbon brush shunt motors are used for driving the agricutter. A linear guide has been designed to adjust the height of the blades. The linear guide uses a pulley mechanism and counter weights. The height is adjusted using a stepper motor. A carbon brush shunt motor is used to rotate the blades. All this work is done manually and an RF transceiver (NRF24L01) is used for that purpose. For autonomous operation, the user transmits the length and width of the field to the agricutter using the RF transceiver. The agricutter completely traverses the field by counting the pulses of the encoders that are connected with the shaft of the motor.
