Project Summary

Our project is android application “smart library ” using python. This project is for ease of librarian (admin) and for the students (users). There will be two interfaces one for the admin and other for the students Admin can control the books reservation registration of student and data of books availability information about the books available in hard form as well as in soft form(pdf) and the whole record of the students using smart library and also have the privilege to block the user from the app and he can also fine the students for late submission of books and he can also upload new books in pdf form admin can also send message to the user as a reminder of expiring date of book and while students have the unique ID for the registration from which they can reserve books check the available books and check the quantity of book and also read the books in PDF form and purchase the book if its available.

Project Objectives

Smart library an android application using python for the library of Abbottabad university of science and technology to facilitate the students in this system. The data of library and the students who love reading is totally managed online through an android application which have the separate interface for admin and users.

Project Implementation Method

In our project we are going to make an android app smart library using python in back end and HTML CSS on front end and MYSQL will be used for the DBMS this project will replace the file base library system into a smart library. Which will work for the ease of students as well as librarian. All the information about the books and students will be stored in database.

• Students also have the unique ID to login.
• Students can check the books in stock.
• Students can reserve books for certain time.
• Students can also check the reserved books and the date of availability of Reserved books.
• Students can read the books available in pdf form.
• Students can send feed back or message to admin.
• Students can also set the reminder for the expiring date.

We will deliver our android application with complete documentation and thesis amd application will be completely tested and will be in working condition
