Self Driving Car
We are building a self driving prototype car which can drive autonomously using computer vision techniques.
We are using "Raspberry Pi 4 Model B" as our main computer.This car can detect road lanes and follow the path accordingly.It can also detect traffics signals and perform accordingly.
Project Objectives:
- Build a self-driving vehicle that can drive without
humans - Provide a futuristic solution to urban traffic control
- 90% reduction in traffic deaths
Implementation Methodology:
- We are implementing our project in micro-processor raspberry pi 4
- We are using micro-controller Arduino UNO as our slave device
- We use nano camera to take real-time footage of the environment
- A servo motor to control left and right steering angle
- We are working in python language and use its libraries especially Open-CV
- We are using CCN model to detect our sign boards
Benefit of Project:
If we implement this project in real life then
- 90% reduction in traffic deaths
- 60% drop in harm-full emissions
- 10% improvement in fuel economy
- 500% increment in lane capacity
Moreover we are gaining alot of information regarding self-driving car in practical way so that we may apply in Tesla Jobs. which is the biggest company in field of autonomous cars.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableFinal Deliverables:
- We print 3D model of Cyber-truck and implement our all hardware inside it
- 7 inch LCD mounted on car to display all real-time data
- A track made up of card boards
- A complete self driving car prototype which can drive without humans
