Project Area of Specialization Shared EconomyProject SummaryWe have design a water irrigation system to irrigate fields which is cheapest and easy to use. Our system is totally wireless which makes it easy to use. It is a cheapest way of irrigation because we are not using electricity from WAPDA. We are using solar energy to run our all of the system. To use our system, you just have to send an sms to a specific number and irrigation will be on. As soon as the field wll be irrigated motor will turned off and we will get notofied on mobile phone.
Project Objectives1- To make water irrigation free from WAPDA.
2- Use of biggest renewable energy source like sun.
3- Make our system wireless and easy to use.
4- To make a reliable and cheap method for irrigation.
Project Implementation MethodIn our project we have used solar panels to use renewable energy like sun to convert in into electricity. We first store DC via solar panels in a battery using a battery chage controller which we designed by ourself. We have to run a motor pump which can extract water from ground and send it into fields. But to run a motor we need 220V AC. So, we convert that DC into AC by using a PWM sine wave inverter to run a motor pump of 1Hp at 220V. Then we attached sprinklers via a pipe with motor to throw water in our field. We have installed soil moisture sensors integrated with arduino, in the field which measures the moisture of soil. As soon as the moisture of soil measured by all of the sensors will be above a certain value, the sensors send a signal to arduino and it will turn Off the motor. We have integrated a GSM module with our system. We can run our system via a mobile phone. To do so, we just have to send a msg "ON" to the GSM, it will turn on our motor and as soon as the field will be irrigated, motor will be turned off automatically and we will get notofied on mobile phone via an sms that our field is fully irrigated now.

5- It's like one time investment. You just have to invest once and then it will be totally free of cost because there is no usage of WAPDA.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur project is ready for deliver.The complexity which we found was to make an inverter. We use different gate driver modules like with pc817, ir2110 but got success when we use TLP250 optacoupler. Then to make a bridge was very difficult. But we got success in it.
