When we are talking about engineering, safety is the first priority. By this project we can identify the condition of electric power, we can save energy and prevent from future mishaps in this way we can save human lives too. There are number of problems in electrical network i.e. heating, burning of appliances and fire catch-up which is dangerous for the human lives. This project will help them to solve these problems. Therefore the reason of developing this project is to provide safety as well as energy management. Further by online monitoring they can control energy consumption in multiple departments within the vicinity. This project is very beneficial for the places having massive energy consumption.

Project Implementation Method

•Step 1:   Initial data acquisition of electrical network and connected load on site.

•Step 2:  Planning and scheduling site visits for measurement of performance parameters of electrical network equipment.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our project comprises of following works :

1.Evaluation of Power condition:

By using a power analyzer data of power, voltages, amperes, frequency, power factor and harmonics will be gathered. That data will analyze to check the power condition i.e. voltage fluctuation, power factor, harmonics etc. and on the basis of results, we will suggest the improvement plans.

2.Evaluation of running load and energy consumption

Using the data of power analyzer, running load and energy consumption will be calculated to give the idea of possible utility billing.

3.Electrical network evaluation

Sizes of cables, capacity of breakers and running amperes will be noted physically. Then by the help of this collected we will check whether the cables and breakers are according to connected load. If found any issue in sizes, we will suggest the appropriate size to avoid any mishap in future.

4.IR Thermography of breakers and cables

IR thermography will be conducted to detect the heating losses that may lead to fire catch-up. Cables or connections that are heating will be suggested to be replaced.

5.IR Thermography of ACs

IR thermography of ACs will be conducted to check the performance of ACs so that energy conservation can be done. Further we will also suggest number of required ACs according to room size.

6.Detail of department wise installed load

Data will be gathered for the installed load of each department of the vicinity so that department wise energy consumption can be calculated and proper energy management can be done.

7.Suggestion for corrective measures

Our report will consist of all the corrective measures that need to be implemented for betterment of energy usage and prevent mishap.

8.Suggestion for Energy management

We will also suggest best available smart energy meters that can acquire the data of energy consumption and power condition with an additional option of real time online monitoring. By the help of this, future energy management can done better.
