Our design objective is to make turbine portable and compact so it can easily be operated on small scale. The turbine has a convertible design and it can be converted conveniently from wind to water turbine and vice versa. Few modifications in water turbine can make the turbine work throughout year
- The turbine comprise of rotor(blades), transmission system, generator and electric system.
- The blade design is most important feature. It works in a way that when turbine is in contact with water, it produces electricity using kinetic energy of moving water waves. When water will be frozen in winters, wind turbine will be working and wind energy is converted into power.
- The turbine has a convertible design. It can be converted from wind to water turbine and vice versa.
To ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the year, we aim to design a hybrid horizontal turbine which will generate electricity using both air and water.

In Pakistan, our idea has no competitors. It is an innovative solution which adresses the areas where water freezes in winters and hence, the water turbines there are unable to produce electricity.
