Project Summary

Nursery-Décor, A centralized platform for online interaction of plant sellers, buyers and the Consultants (horticulturists). The system provides the Nurseries and plant sellers to have their online business and people who can provide their services can also get work through the system. Nurseries can add products, get the required market and can generate revenue through the platform and consultancy can get advantage by providing their services and get orders. The system manages the whole process of order management for nurseries from orders details to their transactional details and providing horticulturist a social platform to showcase their skills and develop a network which can create business opportunities and a decrease in unemployment ratio. The system will facilitate the customer to buy plants online and get the order on the doorstep and if he wants consultancy about the décor of their houses, garden, and commercial areas. Customer can select the services from a number of option available on the platform. Having a centralized system will also create a large database which can be beneficial for the market research and analysis on plant nursery’s, their products and service provided by a horticulturist.

Project Implementation Method

Project is divided into two parts, the Nursery selling platform, and online Consultancy platform. Both the modules are interlinked together. The system is developed in hybrid technology.

React is used as the development tool with backend in Symfony. Using the real-time database structure and software engineering technique (Separation of Concern) with software architecture SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) help us to make both frontend and backend independent. Both modules separately can make itself identity with the use of other technologies and combine then make one.

The project will provide Nursery Order Management Module, Consultant Service Management Module with analytics provided by APIs build on Symfony3 that help them to build customer.

Social Network Module based on socket.io for Realtime interactivity and synchronously connectivity between user for the instant reply and between consultant to make a connection.

User identification is done by APIs provided by Twilio (premium account SMS API required).

Nurseries, Plant buyers and Horticulturists are the major beneficiaries of this project. The following could be the potential benefits of this project.

• It will increase the job opportunities for consultants and other concerned workers

• The business analytics will provide more ways to nursery owners to apply more attracting ideas for attracting customers and to update their nursery according to the market trends

• The underlying framework and technologies of the Project are flexible enough to accommodate the change in the frontend technology.

• Every transaction and hiring services will help to make a track path to find out, how products flow between user and nursery and how consultancy service is getting avail as well.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final Deliverables of the Projects are its complete documentation and its three main modules which are Selling and Purchasing of plants, Online consultancy services and a Social platform of horticulturist and their Frontend which includes both the website and mobile application and their backend connectivity with backend APIs. These deliverables include the Design and Architecture of both frontend and backend of the product. These deliverables will make a complete market product.
