Medicine Donation and Avail Assistant
About 20 % of people cannot afford all the medicines they need during illness. It is reported in the study that 40 % of people admitted to a hospital due to an illness or injury had to borrow money or sell some of their belongings to cover expenses.
To meet the growing need for the development of health care facilities and services we can utilize the power of the Internet and its extensive network, which can help people with just one click on their phone. This donation system will provide website as well as an application for the users. The Medicine Donation and Avail assistant proposed here aims to provide an online platform for donating unused medicines to NGOs and needy people. Users can register themselves in the program by submitting their required information.
The donors and needer will register themselves that will manage by admin and then admin will provide them login credentials and the NGOs will also register themselves by contacting admin through email and admin will verify NGOs along with their registration certificate and then provide them login authorization. The system has the power to prevent users from posting of inappropriate or expired medicine. The system will keep a record of the available and donated medicines. Users can make a post to donate or acquire medicine. Donors can also donate medicine to NGOs by contacting them.
Our donation project aims to increase access to medicines for those who cannot afford them.
Donate medicines to improve the health of people and reduce the cost of treatment of needy families.
1. We are creating a platform for those who are willing to donate medicine and those who need medicine including NGOs.
There will be four types of accounts:
The donors can donate the medicine to the NGOs by contacting them or the donors can donate medicine directly to the needy people through a post. This post cannot be shown to other donors. But this post can be shown by NGOs and Needer. This post contains information as:
The needer can see the post and request the medicine by biding on that post or the needer can contact the donors through contact details. The needer can also ask the donors that he/she do not need the whole medicine but only some of the medicine then donors can donate some of the medicine and then edit the post for the rest of the medicine.
NGOs can also do the same as needer if NGOs need that medicine.
For example, donors want to donate capsules with 40 quantity and needer want 20 of them then donors can donate 20 and edit the post for the remaining as 40 total and 20 remaining.
The needer can also request medicine by adding a post. This post will be shown by donors and NGOs also. This post contains information as:
The needer can also contact the registered NGOs through their contact details if he/she failed to find the required medicine.
There will be NGO registered account and NGOs can see the post posted by donors as well as needer. NGOs can see the donors' posts in the section donors' posts and needer's posts in the section needer's posts and make the response according to their requirements.
NGOs can schedule an appointment for needer and also request an appointment with donors.
2. There will be an Admin account. Admin analyses and deletes or blocks the member donating unwanted medicine. Admin also keeps a weekly or monthly report of the members who had donated medicine. NGOs will contact the admin via email by providing information about the NGO along with the registration certificate to create an account. The admin will verify the NGOs and then will provide the login authorization to the NGOs via email.
| The final submission will be a web-based application that integrates both the website and the application that will prevent medicine wastage and will provide a way to deliver medicine to NGOs and needy people. There will be four types of user accounts.
After selecting an account type the user will be added to the system. The needer can see the posts of the donors who are willing to donate medicine. In the case of a needer account, only donors and NGOs can see the posts. If the needer publishes the post, it will include the location, details about medicine and contact details of the needer who is seeking the medicine. In case of the donors account type the detail of the deliverables is as follows: The donors can post for donating medicine. There will be a picture of the medicine, the name of the medicine, a description of the medicine, and the expiry date of the medicine. After adding these details donors will need to add their location based on the Google Maps API. All the navigation credentials will also be shown in the post when NGOs and needy people click on the post. Contact details of the donors will also be included in the post. Once the post is published all users with a needer account and NGOs account can see the post. All the users who have needer account and NGOs account can navigate to the location of the donors. All needer account and NGOs account holders can also view the donor's contact details. Once the medicine is donated the donors can mark it as donated. Once the needer gets the required medicine through the post the needer can mark it as completed. There is a big problem that if a person wants to get medicine but cannot get a post-update or did not find the required medicine what will he/she do? The solution to that problem is here If the user chooses the type of account for the needer account. This will include the following:
The post by needer includes the name, location, contact details of the needer and details about medicine. Only donors and NGOs account holders can see the post of the person who is demanding the medicine. The status of the posts can be changed, updated, or removed through the real-time database. The posts by the donors will include location navigation via Google Maps. All the services of Google Map will be provided in our software. |
