The goal of this project is to design and implement the Lecture Attendee Monitoring System for Online Education (LAMSOE). This design is chosen due to its effortlessness and cost-effectiveness. The only equipment required by the user (lecturers and students) is an internet device such as a smartphone tablet or a computer. This is deemed reasonable due to the wide availability and high proprietorship of such devices today. The system is currently in an early prototyping phase to show a working resistance to its concept. This report defines the overall architecture as well as the flow of its implementation. The main advantage of the system is a more correct and faster technique of monitoring the student’s lecture attendance. With this system, it'll be quantitatively easier to discern the students supported their diligence in attending lectures, and therefore also predict their performance due to the correlation between attendance and educational performance. This encouragement motivates the deployment of the system in many trials which can be useful for further development and wider application.
The Lecture Attendee Monitoring System for Online Education (LAMSOE) is a web-based platform that assesses and monitors lectures in an online classroom setting. Multiple requirement variables will be assessed on this system to make it very hardy, comprehensive, and scalable. The process of requirement examination assists in identifying the various traits and features required for the system to perform properly and suit the needs of the users. The application's behavioral properties, as well as its functional mechanisms and modules, are modeled using the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Students and lecturers may both benefit from online learning since they can pick the learning environment that best matches their needs. When a lecturer delivers an online class, it indicates that students are not needed to attend a physical class, which is highly recommended during this time. Students also do not have to worry about skipping an essential class because of the absence policy.
