Project Summary

In the era where even a clerk position requires a degree and even masters level graduates are yet unemployed, contrastingly this app basically targets the less educated populace of Pakistan with some skill(s) yet unemployed. Moreover, It’s the app era and people like being served on a click at home so every type of business can get a great boast be it local or some brand by being available at a click to its audience. Most importantly, there is a need for local businesses to enter into digital solutions to progress and cope with the world. Technological developments and new customer expectations of immediacy have driven businesses to adopt on-demand service models. The ultimate goal is to standardize and reinvent certain professions and have professions be connected through our app virtually and just a tab away to meet physically.

The name for the project is proposed to be Geinac which is an abbreviation for Gratitude Empathy Innovation Nurturing Aptitude and Change which reflects the broader objectives of this project and is pronounced as jenic.

It apparently targets two types of audiences i-e the service providers and the service seekers (customers). Any person can register via fb account, CNIC/SSN number, a phone number and the picture of him with CNIC/SSN in Hand. The CNIC number shall be verified by the Deep Learning models or NADRA. We would retrieve the name and other general info of the person registering from Facebook and NADRA so as to make the hectic form filling process a convenience ensuring that there would be no child labor involved and for security assurance. Any person would be able to register for a diverse skillset which he/she believes to have a grip over or has business in like car repairing, cooking, sell wear items, groceries etc. From local area shoe shops, restaurants, marts to famous brands like BATA, Butt Karahi, KHADI, WARDA etc. everyone can be incorporated well into the model and that is the flexibility of app and model. Providers can also feature themselves on the home screen for respective category. AI systems for fraud detection, profile verification, recommender systems as well as Strategic Nervous Systems to analyze and formulate changes in model w.r.t services categories running in each area shall also be used. The transactions would be QR code based.

Project Objectives

1. Raw talent and skill utilization within the country and provide them platform.
2. To provide job opportunities to people with skills yet unemployed, thereby reducing unemployment ratio in Pakistan using the most convenient and short-term investment that is of technology and trust in youth.
3. To encourage entrepreneurial behavior disrupting the traditional ways, reinventing and standardizing how the providers work without interference and involvement of intermediaries.
4. To help promote and expand local businesses throughout Pakistan and create a community of locality connected via our platform with nearby businesses.
5. To bring about technological revolution in Pakistan and raise awareness down to the roots of each class of Pakistan

Project Implementation Method

Product Development Approach:

As our first step we would be launching an android app as it is the most popular as well as feasible platform for our target audience. It targets above 80 percent of our potential users of the product. We are using Iterative Model for the development of the app as because of much diverse type of audiences, it is difficult to grasp the problem and its solution in just one hit so the solution was altered and adjusted as many times as it progressed further with multiple iterations for each functionality developed. Once the website and application are created, we would use Waterfall model for the development of IOS app to streamline the development as by then we already would know what to develop.

AI Development

1.After the project is developed and is available to customers, we would be analyzing what people are doing with product, how they are using it, are people happy with it, what services need improvement by collecting numerous data points. The next stage would be making a nervous system for Geinac that would tell what is missing in the model, are the prices of some providers too high for the area, can we standardize prizing model based on the past data generated by analyzing which providers are doing good and for what reasons, what can be improved in app and where: like some of services categories would perform better than the others while other being neglected and surely those would deliver better results if we change the business model and constraints a bit concerning that service category and of course preserving the basic constraints. Numerous subjective data points shall be placed to figure out what is actually happening with the product and that service. The third stage would be to mold and reshape the product’ business model to what people actually want rather than what is provided. The third stage would be about making a generative model that would synthesize accurate solutions by itself given the goals and constraints by iterating over millions of possibilities from the entire solution space and choosing the best. The data points shall be plugged into that generative model to design solutions for us (a revised business model in our case). Creating of this generative model itself can be fyp and is therefore is not included in Final deliverables of the fyp as it may not be completed by that time. However it shall be developed alongside the actual deliverables with the help of our supervisor.

.2.A recommender system shall also be part of Geinac for suggesting customers the providers based on their usage and experience.

3. Account Verification system using image processing techniques to match the face of user with picture in the CNIC/SSN card alongside with CNIC verification.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1. Geinac Android App

App that features both the customer side and provider within one product without the need for either of them to download a separate app switch to the other mode. Though packaging two apps within one result in needless app size increase for the one who would never want to become the other side but the app is designed and built in a way to reuse components built for both provider and customer side and hence the size difference is not that much. This decision was sort of marketing tactic for convenient role switch between customer and provider side. Currently

• Add/Block Someone’s id instantly.

• Edit categories. Change constraints.
• Read suggestions
• Respond to suggestions
• Check each and every info including logins and activity and history of user (both reporter and reported)
• Add services to specific location.

Recommender system would be built and would recommend the user services based on his actions and actions of similar type of users and in future all the other Ai systems shall be incorporated into the products.

• The first step requires discovering the potential datapoints in the app.
• The second step is the data engineering and deciding the shape of the data.
• Thirdly, we have to choose the approach and potential models that serve our requirements given that no data is available as the product is not launched and users have not generated the data at all.
• Fourthly developing recommender system for our product.
