An estimated 1.1 billion people and around 14% of the world’s population don’t have the electricity facility. Pakistan is under developing country and Pakistan had a total installed solar powered capacity of 131.1 GW at the end of 2017 and have 5 nuclear powered plant. Due to increasing population in the Pakistan, there has been a corresponding increase in power demand without a reliable supply to meet such. The short fall in the supply of electricity in this country especially in the rural settlement where there are no grid systems necessitates the need to explore renewable source of energy.
People find difficulty in charging their phone at public places like hospitals, metros, markets. There are many companies who are installing solar system to the houses, offices and other places. Our aim for this project is to target the public places and provide them charging points there.
Some of the areas of Pakistan don’t have the facility of electricity. In this era of science and technology, everyone has the mobile phones and computers but the people which are living in the areas where there is no facility of electricity or is a short fall of electricity will face the problem of charging. People in the hospitals, bus stands, shopping centers can face the problem of the charging. So, a free charging port will not be less than a blessing. Installing the charging booth at different will not only independently produce its power but it will also help the community at a small level.
The main focus is to avoid the non-renewable resources and to switch to the other renewable resources. World is moving toward the non-renewable resources so Pakistan should also adopt these new technologies which are pollution free and environment friendly.
The objective of the product is described below:
First of all we brought a mono type solar panel with 180 W power,24V open circuit voltage and 9 A short circuit current. Our desired power is 150. We the help of connector we connect the panel with our designed buck converter with specification of 12 V and 8 A and maximum current capability 12A.this circuit convert our voltage of 24 to 26 is to 12 regular voltage and regulate our current round about 8 A .this is basically our charging circuit which charge our two batteries of 135Ah.After this charging we take this output voltage to input our small buck converter which convert out 12 V to 5 V and current to 2.5-3 A .At the output of this buck converter a USB socket will charge our phone. Our booth can charge 3 type of android phone. To monitor this we add a device Node MCU which connects out project status with a server of google firebase which sends our charging percentage to our server and monitor the power consumption and rate of current and voltage on an android device.

This project is a public service project and can be implemented on public places such as bus stops, shopping malls and metro stations.

We have divided our projects in 3 deliverables. Stage 1 includes the research, calculations and simulations of circuit. Stage two includes the implementation of circuit and stay three includes the testing and integration of our project. According to the timeline of our project we have distributed our deliverables

Conclusion:
The final product will be an IoT based charging booth powered by solar power. The product will be able to charge at least 5 and maximum of 10 devices. The system will be able to communicate with the server and tells us about the devices connected and the power remaining in the battery. We are also charging a battery through the panel so that it can provide the uninterruptible power at night.
The final dilverable includes the implementation of our project on a public place. (public place is still not selected and depends on the approval)
