The workflow process is streamlined and the information is readily accessible. The result is increased worker productivity and efficiency, allowing personnel to utilize their time in more effective ways.

Barcode tracking systems can provide organizations with a fast, easy and accurate method of automatic data collection and file tracking, and have been widely used within countless industries. Barcode labels can be attached to any item ranging from individual records, file and record boxes

Our project aim is to develop a mobile app based file tracking and management system so that the cost of barcode readers can be reduced.

Project Implementation Method

When a user will create a file/record in application, barcode labels will be generatedwith new file and attached to that item ranging from individual records, files, recordboxes The label acts as an identifier that can be scanned each time the document isremoved from or returned to a shelf or file room. And when the other user will receive the file in destination department he/she will scanthe barcode using mobile app based file tracking system, and it will automatically update the status of that file

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1. Android application will be developed using flutter,
2. Will be implemented in National Textile University (NTU) Faisalabad for testing. l
3.  NTU’s database will be used as they have already running a web based file tracking system developed in ASP.net
4.  Data will be fetched and post through APIs l NTU Authenticated users can login through their CNIC and password.
