E-Ambulance is a quick-response solution, using your smartphone . According to the recent surveys, utilization of ambulances is very limited in Pakistan as there is no easy to use, friendly and widely accessible platform. The matter of life and death can be decided by seconds therefore we need a service which reduces the incidence of loss of life by providing adequate emergency response. Our focus is to develop a quick, real time tracking application that connects people to registered healthcare providers and private vendors to provide emergency assistance. We will be implementing a platform which provides complete support and extensive features like tracking the ambulance, providing ETA, communicating with the driver, view real time data and provide the level of emergency to prioritise in case of high demand.
According to recent surveys, utilization of ambulances is very limited in Pakistan, people prefer travelling to hospitals using their own convenience and in case of severe accidents the arrival of ambulances can be time critical. The problem here doesn't lie in the availability of ambulances as there are government, nonprofit organizations and private ambulances available but the problem is integrating all of these and providing a singular platform which is friendly, easy to use and accessible to everyone.
Though trauma is the leading cause of death across the world, it is made worse in developing countries because the victims are not able to get treatment on time. The delays in transportation of patients to hospitals and the lack of adequate equipment, supplies and doctors in countries like Pakistan contribute to the high death toll. Booking an ambulance over a call often turns out to be very challenging, even if you have called an ambulance and cannot see the estimated arrival time, it is stressing. Therefore we need a platform where people can easily see the availability of nearby ambulances and call an ambulance with just a click of a button. This timely provision of care can limit or halt the cascade of events that otherwise rapidly lead to death or lifelong disability. Through this project we will be able to help the community using the skills acquired over the course of our degree.
Development Methodology:
To develop this platform we will be using Agile Development Approach. Agile is well equipped to handle the complexity and variability involved in development projects. Focusing on team strengths and efficiency, along with feedback.
Development Technology
The project will be developed in two components Mobile Application and Web Portal, the modules for each and the technology that will be used is described below.
Our goal in developing this project is to provide a platform which connects people to healthcare providers faster. Such platforms exist in developed countries and play an important role, but in Pakistan Despite the availability of modern features, on-time availability of ambulances continues to be a concern for patients under precarious conditions We are proposing to develop a Mobile Application and a Web Portal using the latest technology with three module for clients, healthcare providers and administrators. As of today, no such application exist in Pakistan the closest one is Aman Foundation application which is operating in Karachi but it only provides the service for its own fleet of ambulances. Our Value proposition is that we are proposing a solution which will be widely accessible, government, NGO and private vendors can reach the people in need of care quickly and the drivers will be offered trip remuneration based on kilometers so that the government
The Final Deliverable of the project will be an easy to use cross platform mobile application which people can use to call and see nearby ambulances in the time of need., using real time location tracking.
The Mobile Application is devloped in Flutter an the Web Portal developed in React and Nodejs will be used by admins to ensure smooth flow of the system.
