Project Summary

Most of students pass matric and FSc exams every year. Almost every student is confused about where to take admission and in which field especially those students who have no one to guide them. They don’t familiar the merit lists of different colleges and universities especially people from the backward areas when they want to take admission in Peshawar E-Admission app will guide them. Also, most of the people are financially unstable this project will be providing them support. After taking admission in college or university another issue is hostel, this project will provide complete information about the hostels.

So, E-Admission application will provide solution for all of these problems by providing all these services in one platform. All the students will easily view the merit list of colleges and universities in Peshawar, the fee structure, proper admission procedure, the scholarship that different organization provide, hostels near to the institution where they take admission.

This project provides different modules based on specific features each of them are discussed below:

4.5.1) Admissions module

• This section will provide the lists of available universities and colleges
• The criteria for admission
• Providing the guidelines and procedure that how the student can apply
• Fee structure of each organization

4.5.2) Online result checking module

Result checking is the main issue for student on the announcement date, most students cannot even find the valid website for result checking, so this module will provide an easy access for students so as to check their result.

4.5.3) Scholarship’s module

Most students are financially unstable and they need to be supported by someone else but they are not aware from different available scholarships, so this section will provide:

• The eligibility criteria for apply
• Guidelines and procedure
• The date for scholarship test.

4.5.4) Hostels module

The module will provide the available and nearest hostel for your selected choice of university or college, as well as:

• Location
• Fee of the hostel
• Providing facilities of the hostels

4.5.5) Events Section

Lots of events and functions conducts each month and there are many students and teachers as well as other people who are very interested in these events and functions but most of them are not aware about all of the events, using this feature of the project the students will be able to know about each and every event conducted for education purposes.

Project composition

This project is the composition of several phases, each phase has specific time line are in sequence form. A short overview of these phases is discussed below:

4.4.1) Requirement Gathering

The first phase where we are going to collect data of available universities and colleges, we will be collecting data of nearest hostels to each college and university. Requirement gathering is the main helpful step for our upcoming phases

4.4.2) Design Phase

After the successful collection of data, the next step is to divide our system into different modules, UI and UX design and language selection for our project is also the main task of this phase.

4.4.3) Implementation Phase

The phase where actual things happen is the coding phase which consist of programs module, their dependencies on each other and the logic for each module.

4.4.4) Testing & maintenance phase

After the implementation of each module will conduct different tests for our system such as unit testing, integration testing and system testing so as find out the effect of each module on each other, after successful testing of our system we would set plan for the maintenance of the system because we know that changes in requirements may occur.

The project will be an application with the help of which students can be able to know related information about their admissions in universities colleges and hostel. Instead of visiting every college or university website, looking newspaper or any social media site for admission advertisement E-Admission Application will provide all these facilities in one platform.

1. CONCLUSION

The era of education is increasing day by day in most of the countries, Pakistan is one of these countries where education level increases rapidly, so by increasing the level of education there is a need to facilitate those people who aims to learn something on academic level. Providing the opportunity to learn the educational organization also increases. Now to find out suitable organization students facing difficulty in selection, it’s because these students cannot visit to each organization or if the data is available online for each university, they are not able to compare all the available organization because this task is very difficult.

More ever there is another difficulty of living after successful admission in specific organization means hostels problem came here. As all the students are new comers so they are not aware about the environment where they have taken admission.

To solve all of these problems or hurdles comes in admission, hostels finding the E-admission is the best solution which have the ability to completely solve these problems or at least overcome it. The E-admission system will provide a single and simple platform based on different modules for universities, colleges, hostels and many more so as to provide an easy access for users. Thus, the students will be familiar of updated data which the system will be providing using web parsing technique.
