The objectives we want to achieve in this project are as under:
Project will be implemented in hardware form. We will be using a conveyer belt and time sensors for moving of weapons and time control of the sections. For the monitoring and control an Arduino (Microcontroller) will be used. This setup will allow us to move the weapons through the sections without manual work.
The project will be completed in stages. Firstly, we have covered most of the theoretical part. We will then be moving on the equipment section which will include testing and working on each component individually. This section will also cover the programming phase. Then we will be entering the experiment phase where all parts are to be tested to get us our desired results.
The degreasing plant is operated manually from an electric panel. So, there is no time defined for operation of each section of the machine. The machine operator has to manually open and close doors of the section and also transfer weapons from one section to another. Another problem is that the machine has to replace the solvent (Chemical) after 40 days that too manually causing the operations to stop for 24 hours. Similarly, in case of emergency the system has to be turned off manually. Buying new plants is very expensive and can cost a company in millions.
