Project Summary
As of now there’s no system available in Pakistan where students can test and showcase their coding skills. We provide online coding competition platform to individuals where they can test their skills and compete with their fellow coders. The end result is to encourage individuals from different background to participate in healthy competitions.
Project Objectives
Following are some of the objectives keeping in mind the problems discussed above
- To provide an online platform where students can check their coding skills by participating in the event.
- To help recruiters in finding the best candidate among the pool of thousands.
Project Implementation Method
Our system consists of two major parts. One part includes the website that the user will use to register for the event, and it’ll also ensure if the user meets the minimum requirement for the test through a quick test. The second part will include chrome extension (that’ll be used to track user activities (both on-screen and off-screen) to minimize the risk of cheating) and the webpage where the test will be taken.
Benefits of the Project
More than 25000+ students related to computer sciences get graduated every year, and the number is increasing; however, only a few thousands of them become able to get a good job. According to the report of Academia Magazine [1], nearly 78% of employers are dissatisfied with university graduates. One of the reasons being that many students don’t go beyond and explore their area of interest. PITB is also not conducting such events; last such event by PITB was conducted on 2014 [2]. Through this project, we are taking the first step in helping students to learn and evaluate themselves so that they can improve and excel in their field. The scope of this project is broad, and we’ll welcome everyone with coding skills to participate after giving and passing initial test.
