With an alarming rate of depreciation of fossil fuel levels and the increasing demand per person, the advent to more sustainable mode of transportation is crucial for the longevity of the present resources, keeping this in mind E wheel is aimed to be an electric skateboard which will be portable, pollution free, helpul to travel in bounded areas i.e Universities, industries etc, reduce traffic density and will have rechargeable option
Pakistan being a developing country is highly dependent on import of crude oil while the fluctuation in price in international market highly affects consumers, considering that in mind we aim to design an E wheel which can lift the weight of rider and will be used as mode of transportation while having a rechargeable option of power supply; having a battery monitoring system which enables a rider to know when to charge
Traditionally vehicles are made by internal combustion engine, for an E wheel combustion engine will be replaced by a motor while a motor can work at high speed to utilize it for our project we have to control the speed of motor using a speed controller such that a rider can apply braking system and even accelerate when required, to sense this a microcontroller is used as the brain of motor which after sensing input for rider will sense information to motor and and acr accordingly, an error signal is generated as a feedback to help the process, further to control an overdamed system response PID controller parameters are utilized
Developed countries have now started shifting to E vehicles now is the time for us to make our contributions to our society, E wheel is aimed to be an electric skateboard having recharge option, low maintenance using a bldc motor; a motor having low noise and high efficiency; controller will control the speed of motor while for the operation of motor a current amplifier will be used as a motor needs high current that current will be completed from current amplifier. A microcontroller is used which acts as brain for sensing what rider wants from skateboard the input single from the footpads which allows the controller to speed up or apply brakes. Kalman filter and complementary filters along with PID controllers Parameters will be used to protect from overdamping.
