Cardiovascular and respiratory diseases are the major cause of death all over the world . The rate of deaths due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases has decreased in high-income countries but around 80% to 86% of the total population of the 3rd world countries still suffers from such diseases, example country is Pakistan. The reasons behind this ratio are:

Use of the traditional stethoscope increases the risk of spread of COVID-19
Traditional Stethoscopes have low sound levels.

To achieve this goal, we will design an AI based Wireless Digital Stethoscope that will not only assist cardiologist and pulmonologist in diagnosis but it will also reduce the risk of transmission of any viral diseases like COVID. Our device will be able to detect and enhance low amplitude sounds that are produced by the heart and lungs.

As we are designing and developing a digital stethoscope, it consists of two parts: first patient end and second doctor end. For the patient end, we have designed an amplifier circuit, to measure and listen to the heart and lung sounds through the simple speaker which is then interfaced with the arduino board in order to make it wireless. We used the ECG Module in the patient end part to measure the ECG of the patient , interfaced with the arduino. To record and save the ECG and sounds (heart and lung) we used a micro sd card module with 32 GB SD Card. This micro Sd card is also interfaced with the Arduino board. For wireless transmission from patient end to doctor end we used a bluetooth module connected with a bluetooth speaker and TFT Display.
Our doctor end part will consist of a bluetooth module that will work as a receiver which will receive the data from the patient end part and will display a signal of both heart/lung sounds and ECG on TFT Display, both bluetooth module and TFT Display will going to be interfaced with arduino. To listen to the heart and lung sounds we will connect a bluetooth speaker with a bluetooth module.
There is a dire national need to provide better healthcare facilities to the population. But the shortage of physicians and poor economy makes it difficult to provide the required facilities to the people.
Using the current technologies of our age, such as Artificial intelligence, we can greatly help the country make tremendous strides towards providing a better healthcare solution to its people. Our project aims to do exactly that, use state of the art technology, and artificial intelligence to provide solutions to ease the burden of diagnosis on the healthcare system.
Wireless- stethoscope: The main aim of our project is to develop a wireless-stethoscope that will help us to prevent the transmission of any viral diseases such as covoid-19. This device will not require any physical contact or proximity between physicians and patients.
Data collected from patients to develop AI diagnosis model: After the development of wireless stethoscopes, data collection of the patients will be started. the developed device will prove to be an efficient tool for the diagnosis of disease, through the use of an artificial intelligence algorithm.
We propose a Wireless- Digital Stethoscope, with AI based diagnosis capability. The proposed device will not only assist cardiologists and pulmonologists in diagnosis but it will also reduce the risk of transmission of any viral diseases like COVID-19. With the AI Diagnosis capability, the proposed device will greatly reduce the burden of diagnosis on physicians. Even in rural areas of Pakistan where access to physicians is very rare, such a device would be beneficial in providing timely diagnosis to the masses. Being completely wireless, the device will not require any physical contact or proximity between physicians and patients. The electronic amplifiers and filters will greatly increase the quality and levels of the sound.
