To optimize our shopping marts we want to make a Smart Shopping Cart along with an Android app as our Final Year Project. A cart which could detect the products using Object Detection and OCR with a smartphone which will be mounted on the cart. When Customer will scan the product, then the detected product will be added to the virtual cart in App on phone along with other details of product like price etc. And payments will be made through online payment methods. For its implementation we will have to use On-device models such as MnasNet or MobileNets. Algorithms such as SSD or YOLO will be used.
There are many objectives linked to this project, but the main priority of this project is to replicate the conventional mart shopping process and to bring in automation in place. The key objectives are:
