Project Summary

Now a day’s Parents have more responsibility than older about their children's. Because Crimes rates are increasing day by day in our country, Crimes such as Child Amusement, Rapes, Murders, Illegal Relationship to avoid these kinds of crimes parents must watch their children every step. Eventually mobile phones cause major allegations on our society. Many teens (especially girls) must be noticed by their own parents, it’s our duty. But sometimes children's are arguing with their parents for watching their steps, to overcome these issues, we need to watch them through online. After considering all these factors we are going to make a smart monitoring system “Child’s Phone Monitoring App” that will monitor the cell phone of our child that will capture all the activities and report the parents. This system will be implemented for tracking the daily activity of the users with their android mobiles.

Parents will have a solution for monitoring their child activities through mobile phone without their knowledge. Parents will be able to see their child’s recent activities like Messaging, Call logs, Contacts, Location. They will be able to apply restrictions on apps usage, restrict apps for a time, lock phone, block or unblock apps, and also monitor and will also be able to set screen time limit.

Project Objectives

The basic objective of this project is to monitor the cell phone of our Childs, because we cannot be with them every time or watch their mobile or stop them to use the mobile phone.

In recent times, many parents fail to keep a close eye on their kids due to terrible pressure to balance their life and parenting together. This could end pretty badly because today's children are facing with both real-world dangers and online issues. Parents should regulate children's smartphone use and pay close attention to their whereabouts, just to make sure they are safe and sound.

So, using our app will be very appropriate and time-saving. This app will help parents to monitor children's locations, online activities, messages and other contents of their child's phone.

Our system will be able to provide the summary of usage of mobile phone.

  • Access the mobile of children.
  • Monitor the all activates of children on mobile.
  • Control the access of applications on mobile of children.
  • Limit Screen time.
  • It will also increase the interaction of family’s with their children

Project Implementation Method

There are many programing languages for implementing online applications. This is the Android development project. Java is the official language of android, kotlin is the cross platform of android. C++, C# and python are also a programing language of android. In this project we will use java as a programing language and firebase database. Firebase is a real time database.

To Design our app we will use Incremental process Model.

  • System implementation will be  broken down into many mini development projects

  • Partial systems will be successively built to produce a final total system

  • Highest priority requirement iwill betackled first

  • Once the requirement is developed, requirement for that increment are frozen.

we will use following softwares to implement our project

  • Android Studio
  • Java(Backend)
  • Xml(Frontend)

Using this application parent will make a Gmail account and will connect both parent and child’s phone.

After connection the  parents will be able to put restriction on any application or set the time for that application, parents will also set the screen time limit.

Parents will also be able to lock the child’s cell phone and access the location.

Benefits of the Project

Our proposed system is an android application that will be able to monitor the whole activities on cell phone.And we will be able to monitor the activities remotely anywhere in the world in our smart phone.

  3. Make Account:Parent will be able to make account to connect with child phone. The same account will be used on both parent and child side.
  4. Delete account:Parent will be able to delete account.
  5. Monitor Activities: Parent will be able to check which application child is using at this time.
  6. Block Apps: Parent can block certain applications e.g. Parents wanting their child not to use TikTok or Facebook will be able to block these apps.
  7. View unblock App requestParent can view request of child to unblock any app.
  8. Unblock Apps:Parent will also be able to unblock app.
  9. Checks call logs:Parents can check call history.
  10. Checks messages:Parents can check and read message details.
  11. Check app history:When child will use any app then our app will maintain its history and parent can view this history.
  12. Set Schedule:Parent can limit device access during study hours or in hours reserved for chores. It means parent will be able to set the schedule for usage of phone on daily basis, like child can use the phone on Sunday for 12 hours or from 6am to 9pm and on Monday 3pm to 8pm etc.
  13. Set screen time limit:Parent will be able to set the screen time limit for specific time period e.g. if parent set screen time for 4 hours for child’s phone then after using the phone for 4 hours the child’s  phone will get locked. Using this Feature Parents can control the time their kids spend on smartphones and tablets.
  14.  Lock phone:Lock phone is slightly different in this, the Parent will be able to forcefully lock the child’s phone at any time. The app will enable parents to lock their kids’ devices during homework time.
  15. Access Location:Parents will be able to access the location of the child’s phone. It will enable parents to get a detailed location history of all the places that their kids visit.
  16. Avoid uninstalling app from child’s phone:Parents will be able to manage multiple devices with our app and prevent kids from uninstalling our app.
