Aieecan is the trusted way to buy, sell and experience the cultural taste of rural areas of Sindh. AieeCan is a website and android base e-commerce platform, where we will connect skilled women of rural areas with their artistic and cultural handicrafts throughout the nation further, they will provide home food and cloth stitching services. Listing an item on Aiee can is free. We only charge a small fee when the products are sold. Free shipping is our key narrative, As mostly in rural areas women are restricted to stay in home thus they can’t came in front to cash their skills keeping same issue in mind we make shipment easy, Now women can sell and cash their services without leaving their place as our trusted delivery partners pick the products from them and deliver it to buyer. Buy and sell everything from rural areas of Sindh, clothes, accessories, lifestyle items, handmade products, kids’ to food and desserts on Aiee can.

Project Objectives

According to me right thing at the right places must be appreciated thus I found demand of E-commerce platform in my native area like (Khairpur, Jacobabad and  Thar ) thus I decided to launch such project where women can acknowledge the true essence of women empowerment , I feel the women of local areas are more skilled in stitching and handicraft creation but due to lack of social awareness, some ethical boundaries and lack of self-esteem they aren’t able to cash there talent with maximum profit, Therefore I decided to work as a bridge to connect those women with Ecommerce platform, As Ecommerce  is fast gaining ground as an accepted and used business paradigm. More and more business houses are implementing web sites providing functionality for performing commercial transactions over the web. It is reasonable to say that the process of shopping on the web is becoming commonplace.

The objective of this project is to develop a general-purpose e-commerce store for women of rural areas in Sindh where product like cultural clothes, handicraft and food can be sell by local area women from the comfort of home through the Internet. However, for implementation purposes we play as mediocre to connect those uneducated women who can’t able to use technology to establish their business at national and commercial level.

Project Implementation Method

To build any web and mobile application using firebase server we need a programming and markup language such as java, JavaScript ,php  and so on. Java was the language used to build the android application while mainly we use php to build website. For the client browser to connect to the web engine with android application we use firebase as a Web Server. Firebase uses its build in tools to interact with the database as it provides in-memory caching that eliminates the need to contact the database server frequently and it can easily deploy and maintain an FireBase Application. SQL was used as back-end database since it is one of the most popular databases, and it provides fast data access, easy installation and simplicity. 

A good shopping cart design must be accompanied with user-friendly shopping cart application logic. It should be convenient for the customer to view the contents of their cart and to be able to remove or add items to their cart. The shopping cart application described in this project provides a number of features that are designed to make the customer more comfortable.

 This project helps in understanding the creation of an interactive web and mobile platform and the technologies used to implement it. The design of the project which includes Data Model and Process Model illustrates how the database is built with different tables, how the data is accessed and processed from the tables. The building of the project has given me a precise knowledge about how Firebase is used to develop a website and android application, how it connects to the database to access the data and how the data and web pages are modified to provide the user with a shopping cart application. 

Benefits of the Project

Aieecan provides rural areas women with a safe and hassle-free platform to buy and sell niche fashion, beauty, handmade and lifestyle products, along with artisan food and desserts. Aieecan also facilitates stay-at- home Rural areas women in monetizing their talents, so that they not only become self-reliant but also achieve a greater sense of self-identity.

The idea of Aieecan postulates that rural areas women can sell anything – new or pre-loved – and, hence, monetize both their talent as well as their closet. So far, the network has been joined by scores of rural areas women, who will able to earned thousands at home through Aieecan and even become household names because of their quality and finesse. The Aieecan platform is very simple and user-friendly, enabling Rural areas women to buy and sell anything in just a few clicks. It also takes the “hassle” out of online selling by handling everything –vetting the buyer, handling the transactions and shipping and marketing of products– so the seller may solely focus on growing her business.

For Android Application: All android mobile devices with minimum API level 22.

Register:

The user of the application must be able to create an account. While creating his account, he must provide personal info: Name, address, email address, phone number, He will have to confirm his email address

Home:

The mobile application must have a home screen visible for all the user of the application (whether logged in or not). The home screen should contain the latest products added to the database. 

Products:

 The user of the application must be able to view a product list available for sale. He must be able to view their details and add them to his cart if he is logged in.

Orders:

 After adding products to his cart, the user must be able to confirm his order and provide a valid address and a valid mobile phone for the products to be shipped.
