In the field of heart diseases “HEART ATTACK” or myocardial infarction is permanent damage to the heart muscle. Myo means muscle “cordial” refers to the heart and infraction means the death of tissue due to lack of blood supply and release proteins into the bloodstream.
The end goal of our project is to provide a quick and faster way of alerts and warnings for the critical condition of a heart patient directly to the emergency department. With the help of this procedure, the patient can get the care he needs as quickly as possible.
The strategy in the medical field is a Heart attack and sudden heart failure. This disease takes millions of lives in the year.
In the medical field, there are many heart monitoring devices that only gives the patient heart rate. Usually, Heart Rate Calculation has traditionally been conducted using specialized hardware or device. It used most commonly in the form of pulse oximeters or Electrocardiogram devices. Through these devices have a higher method and they are reliable to a normal user. However, these devices require users to perform their process.
In this technology we are using IOT; we can predict the upcoming events and make a decision on the basis of past experiences. This device not only determines the heart rate but also Pre notify about a heart attack.
In the system, the Pulse Detector works on the principle of photoplethysmography and detects the blood flow from the different region of the body. Beat LED flashes unison with each heartbeat and connected with microcontrollers and work on the principle of light modulation by blood flow through pulse detector from the finger. When the heart attack occurs then pulse rate slower and is detect by pulse detector and give the commands to the microcontrollers for signal generation into Bluetooth module and the Bluetooth give alert into the android phone by an android application
Heart attack detection using heartbeat sensor (pulse sensor) works on photoplethysmography (PPG) technique. This is a low-cost optical technique that can be used to detect blood volume changes in the microvascular bed of tissues. The light absorbing property of hemoglobin is used in the measurement of heartbeat rate. The light from an infrared light source on underside of the Arduino is shown on blood vessels just under the skin.
The variations in the signals are related to the changes in blood volume inside the tissue. The photodetector produces an electrical signal when reflected backlight strikes it. The signal which we obtained from the sensor is an analog signal and it is converted into a digital signal. Furthermore, the signal can be filtered and then amplified to obtain a perfect PPG waveform, which is synchronous with the heartbeat.
The boundaries of our system are in between these elements.
