Project Summary

A report published in 2018 by Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, 150,000 patients are diagnosed with cancer in Pakistan. It is identified that public awareness may help in reducing the mortality rate as well as increasing the curing rate.

The key problems related to cancer in Pakistan are:

• Most of the people in Pakistan are unaware of cancer. They lack information about labs, medical experts, and hospitals.
• People diagnosed with cancer who couldn’t afford the treatment and don’t have any know-how about whom to contact to get financial support.
• People do not have knowledge that different hospitals have some policies for treating patients related to patient's age and stages of cancer. 
• most of the public of pakistan is unable to understand english. they cannot get information regarding cancer.

Cancer Care an mobile application(Android & iOS) for Cancer awareness. The Application will be in two languages English and Urdu for the better understanding of users. This Application will provide information about Cancer Symptoms and it's Precautions. Users can find and filter between expensive, cheaper, and charity/zakat-based hospitals. The system will provide a platform for motivation and financial help. User/Patient can interact with other users by posting their query and can also share content. The user can also keep and maintain their records by making importants notes. The user will be notified for the events related to Cancer. . cancer patients data will be stored on cloud.using various techniques of data mining reports will be generated that will help government of pakistan to reduce the rate of this deadly disease.

Project Objectives

The Objectives of our System are:

•  The system will help people of pakistan understand about cancer by providing UI in two languages English and Urdu.
• The system will help in creating awareness about Cancer and decrease mortality rate.
• The system will help user in finding Nearest Cancer Hospitals/labs.
• The system will help user get financial help for treatment of Cancer.
• The system will help Patients get Motivation Help.

Project Implementation Method

Cancer care application is a cross platform application that is implemented using flutter. IDE used for developing this application is Android studio because it is most commonly and widely used IDE used for developing cross platform applications. Database used for this application is MySQL because is better in performance, scalability, reliability and it is easy to use. Multiple API's are used is this application for performing different functionalities such as youtube api that is used to fetch data from youtube

benefits of this project are.

• the patients can easily find nearest hospitals and labs related to cancer.they can also filter between cheaper and zakat-based hospitals.
• patients can easily get financial and motivation help.
• patients can not only get awareness related to cancer but also this information will be in urdu language that will make easy for public of pakistan to understand.
• patients can also interact with doctors and ask them different queries.
• patients can also interact socially and share their experience and stories.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

final deliverable of this project will  a cross platform application that will run on Android versions 3.0 and higher. on IOS it will run on all versions. for this application to run properly internet connectivity is required. user must allow location services for finding nearest hospitals.
