An Autonomous Robot Prototype which can detect lanes and stay within them while also detecting obsticals and and avoiding them using Image processing which will wirelessly be sent to robot from server. It will be a huge setpping stone for self-driving technology in Pakistan.
Our objective is to make a prototype autonomous robot so that us along with others can use this design and work upon it to make a portable autonomous technology which can be installed onto any car and make it autonomous. It will be a huge step in autonomous technology as right now we only have specific models of cars with self driving technology while with that technology we can turn any car into a self driving vehical.
Our project right now is based on research and a small robot prototype. In future, we will do the real implementation, that is on cars. On car implementation, we will either make a robot who will drive the car or just implement the system itself in the car. Of course the vision is to provide fully self driven cars for people. Even though out project is a proof of concept. With little tweaks it can used and implemented in many things for easeness. Such as it can be implemented in roads to draw lanes or in grounds to draw boundaries or access remote areas etc. We will use neural networks and image processing along with ultrasonic sensors to analyse the area around the robot so that it can process all the data and know the safest path to go on.
The benefits of this are that not only will this project help in decreasing human caused accidents and also decrease traffic jams on the road but it will also be beneficial to the economy of Pakistan as we will not have to import self driving cars to the country because we will be a leading country in makingnthem and exporting them to the rest of the world.
