Project Summary

It takes time to study cervical vertebrae. There is also probability of human error in judgement of x-ray or in explanation of report .In 96% case of the times the cervical injry goes unnoticed which causes isuues in later stages.To detect the problem the doctors whole panel has to sit everytime and see te radiographs which have a huge possibility of human error.To automate the process we introduce over project of automatic segmentation of cervical vertebare.

Project Objectives

To do a fully automatic segmentation that will detect the vertebrae and assist the doctor in their diagnosis process.And make the process fully automatic eradicating the possibiliteis of human error and help the medical field take one step in success further.

Project Implementation Method

Public Dataset was obtained and preprocessing techniques are implemeented on them.Further annotations are applied on the dataset for marcation of vertbrae.Model is Fed to yolo v5 for training and and kinetic parameters of the vertebrae are concluded and segmentation is done.

Benefits of the Project

It eleminates the possibiliteis of human error.Doctors panel dont have top sit everytime and take time from their busy schedule everytime a patient came.It automateds the process completely.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

segmentation will be fully automated.The final input will be in from of a graphical interface to assist the doctors.Complete segmentation of cervical vertebare from C3 to C7.
