Project Summary

In the farming process, often used conventional seeding operation takes more time and more labor. The seed feed rate is high but the time required for the total operation is also more and the total cost is increased due to labor, hiring of equipment. The conventional seed sowing machine is less efficient, time consuming. To meet the future food demands, the farmers must implement the new techniques which will not affect the soil texture but will increase the overall crop production.

Project Objectives

•Design and Fabrication of a Seed Sowing machine capable of automatic seed dispensing for sowing mechanism.

•In this project an attempt is made to make the electric and mechanical systems together to share their powers in an efficient way.

•Modeling and fabrication of Furrow digging mechanism that can dig  the soil in     rows up to 5 inch

•Designing and Fabrication of seed metering disc.

•This robot is also designed to perform a Furrow closing mechanism to redirects soil back over the seed helping to prevent drying out of the seedbed.

•Battery operated motorized drivetrain to deliver power to the driving wheels

•Modeling and fabrication of conventional Wheel design for terrain movement

Project Implementation Method

We make a combination of mechanical and electrical equipment. We already had studied their functioning and how to make a connection between them. In our project micro controller or arduino act as brain of our system. Battery provides an electrical power to the shaft which rotates and due to this furrow opening and seed metering mechanism happens. Drop of seed timing is controlled by arduino or microcontroller

There are various features of our project. It can offer various number of advantages to the user. Our project has some of the most countable features that have mentioned below:

Automation

 Our Robot is fully automatic saves a lot of tedious manual work and Fully operated with the help of motors.

Time saving:

Conventional seeding operation takes more time. It is less time consuming and causes immense crops engenderment across the country.

Fulfill Multiple tasks:

Automatic seed sowing machine helps farmer to fulfill the tasks like digging, seed sowing, water pouring and fertilizing by using non-conventional energy sources.

Remote Areas:

This robot will help the farmers of those remote areas of country where fuel is not available easily

No Man Power Required:

No manpower requirement and high speed of operation.

Renewable Energy Source:

We can also use solar panel as our renewable energy source, Pollution is also a big problem which is eliminated by using solar plate.
