In the recent research on coil winding machine market from 2015 - 2019, it is suggested coil winding machines demands will increase between 2020 - 2030. Explaining its reasoning, due to increase in electronics automobiles the demand of coil winding machines also increased which are required for wire winding. In Asia Pacific, electronic industry grows rapidly in China and India which create significant opportunities for coil winding machine market growth. Almost all across the globe the electric vehicles industry is growing.
Coil winding machines are used to wind coils on transformers, motors chokes and inductors. There are mainly three types of coil winding machines used in market which are manual coil winding machine, semi-automatic coil winding machine and automatic coil winding machine. In this project we are going to made automatic coil winding machine using Arduino programming and PLC programming. Arduino is simple and commonly used while PLC is mainly used in industries. So, we do on both to compete with industry as well as for local use.
The project aim is to make an automatic coil winding machine. The objective of the project is.
To make this project possible, we plan to do following activities;
1. Literature review on
a) Selection of the which hardware design to use and software for hardware design.
b) The components used in machine such as which motors are used.
c) The selection of the electrical connections of the motor with Arduino and with PLC.
d) Selection for the coding of the project i.e., which language for software is going to use.
2. Design and development of the Automatic Coil Winding machine
a) The hardware design is made on the SolidWorks software.
b) Then, the manufacturing of the hardware design.
c) Assembling the complete model and attaching the motors with it.
d) Completion of the electrical connections of the automatic coil winding machine.
f) Verifying the program for the ACWM.
The following are the major benefits of this Project:
1. Manufacturing a fully automatic coil winding machine for small scale users.
2. Good tool for the lab purpose to illustrate the lab student.
3. As world is moving toward electrical vehicles, this machine can be used for the winding purpose of different parts of the vehicles.
4. As this can be useful for the industries because of its design and programming by the PLC which is very common in industries.
5. Due to small in size, this automatic coil winding machine can move to any place which is very beneficial.
6. This machine is made user friendly which is use by any customer without any coding knowledge.
The following are the technical details of Final deliverable from waste energy.
Hardware Design
The final hardware is made up of the slider assembly, roller, nozzle and stepper motors support structure. There is also the moveable par for the bobbin support.
Electrical Design
The electrical design is made up on the PCB which is final deliverable for the project. The electrical design consists of the connection of the stepper motors with Arduino and PLC. The electrical connections contain linkage of the keypad and LCD with the control part.
Programming
The code for the running of these two stepper motors in corporation. The code for the Arduino and PLC is made for both.
