Project Summary

We all know that game is the well-known source to mentally train a player related to any situation depending on the story. Anti-Zombie AR game is a unity-based game for smart phones which will use augmented reality. Augmented reality is defined as "an enhanced version of reality created by the use of technology to add digital information on an image of something." AR apps use your phone's camera to show you a view of the real world in front of you, then put a layer of information, including text and/or images, on top of that view. AR is all about superimposing computer-generated images on top of your view of reality, thus creating a composite view that augments the real world. In this game you will kill dreadful zombies appearing around you in virtual space. You can watch through the camera and you will see a lot of zombies around you like on the ceiling, hovering above the floor, on your left and to your right. The player can kill the zombie with gun shots. The overall effect should be such that zombies are actually in the real environment. It would also provide interactive interface with effective sounds, which would be entertaining for the player. There will be a health bar on top of the screen that shows the player’s health.

Project Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

  • The aim of our team is to provide awareness about developing game not only at university level but at industry level as well. Game development is often discouraged and not taken as seriously as it should be.
  • Our objective is to develop a game for young and adults to enjoy the game and feel relaxed from their daily life routine.
  • The purpose of this game is to provide a good quality game by providing Augmented Reality.
  • It helps make the user strategy good, make him capable of tackling things fast and taking quick decisions.

Project Implementation Method

These are the following implementation constraints:

  • Google Firebase is used to manage database specification.
  • Mobile game is developed on Unity 3D
  • Character creation will be done on blender
  • Mobile phone with kitkat 4.4 or later version
  • Development Tool: Unity 3D, Blender, Firebase
  • Programming Language: C Sharp

Benefits of the Project

For the most part, children can no longer go outdoors and find others to play with freely, away from adults, as they once did; but many of them can and do play video games. The expectation of this project is to design an easy interface for all players to enjoy the game. Our game will enable the players to use almost any surroundings as the gaming environment. AR’s major market is with mobile devices. One major reason for this is that the technology is already compatible with smartphones. So, there is no necessity to buy new hardware. Due to the development of portable and embodied devices, together with highly interactive, physical-virtual connections, the customer experience gets better day by day. The AR market is growing rapidly day by day, which interests industries to work on more AR based projects. First person shooter players display reduced reaction time and accelerated motor responses. Playing action video games trains people to make the right decisions faster.

The technologies used for this project are the latest and the updated one’s which are used in today’s market. These are:
