Augmented reality is a technology that works on recognition algorithms based on computer vision to augment sound, video, graphics and other sensor based inputs on real world objects using the Camera of your device (mobile, computer).
It is a good way to render real world information and present it in an interactive way so that virtual elements become part of the real world. And User can have better understanding of it.
My project is based on Augmented reality. By using this app, we can buy products and before buying any product, we can have a brief 3D virtual view of that product using Augmented reality.
Project Objectives
My app will facilitate users to buy stuff online without any problem or visiting any shops or mall.
User can experience their product by placing it in real time environment anywhere anytime in their shops, offices, homes, schools etc and buy it without any confusions and hesitation.
User experience is most important, and provide this facility all over the country as similar software is not available in Pakistan.
- To create 3D models of Objects in store like furniture, room objects, etc.
- To develop a android app using ARCore for augmented reality.
- To develop a online e-shopping application.
- To integrate e-shopping with Augmented reality features with 3D Models. And locations.
Project Implementation Method
- First user will signup then login from their account
- Then they select their product
- After selecting product user have to open AR specific camera
- Then user can experience their desired product in real time augmented
- If user like the product he can proceed to cart or user can go back to products list
Benefits of the Project
The main problem which will be solved by my software is that, people get easily confused when purchasing things online, they often after buying stuff get that it was not their desired stuff or the thing they were expecting was not there in reality. Because before buying in pictures, things are not that much clear, we often imagine things according to our surroundings, but reality is much disappointing. Things we buy, when we use it or place it somewhere or something, it may not look as we wanted.
That’s where my project will help people simulate things in their surroundings and get better understanding of the product they are purchasing.
This project is based on online shopping with latest technology feature based on Augmented Reality. AR will be used to show a 3D virtual model of the item being purchased. The user can view the furniture items they are purchasing online in 3D and view how that furniture will look in their homes using AR. This will be an interactive app where user will be able to interact with the environment and view 3D model of object which they are interested to purchase in real-time.
