Project Summary:

Academic Social Network project is inspired by Online Education. This
project is web application which create bridge between students, teachers and
senior-students. The idea of this project is to help students which easily
communicate with their course-teacher and senior-students by posting their
question on a particular course and also other teacher, senior students will
share their knowledge on that post. Teacher will track student’s progress
through videos lecture.

Project Objectives

Objective:

The main objective of this project is to build Communication Bridge between
students, teachers and senior-students, share their knowledge experience and
teachers can identify each student’s progress in their course. This project will
bring ease and benefit to both students and teachers.

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation:

1. Login: When someone login to the system username/RegNo and password will be required if username/RegNo and password is valid it will show the dashboard and validation is failed then send validation failed message.
2. Update Profile Detail: when update profile option is selected the update page to be displayed. After updating any field a system should show a success message. If something is not updated the Error message also be displayed.
3. Faculty view uploaded content: when a faculty member selects this option they will select the courses in which they are teaching and then view lecture all lectures will be displayed
4. Get random password on first login: when first time someone try to login they will get a random password they will request for random password a system will validate the password. If actor is valid the random password is sent to his phone or email but actor is not valid then failed message is sent.
5. Students Download lectures: the working of this option will be way that student will select the enrolled course and after selecting course the student will view lecture the system will send all the uploaded lectures. The student will send request for download the system will look for the file. If file is found the successfully download the lecture.
6. Students watch Videos Lectures: when a student selects to watch a video the system will handle video timeline when a student stops the video a status of timeline is updated in database. The system will get the current watch timeline and update the watch timeline when video is completed.
7. Upload Lecture Content: The teacher will select the upload lecture option and select their teach courses select file types and select lecture file the file will be uploaded. The system will show the error or success message.

Benefits of the Project

Benefits:

Our application is basically developed for the audience that is for students and
teachers. This web application will become a communication bridge between a
student and a teacher. One of the basics reason to develop this application is
that teacher can easily record the progress of the student easily.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Technical Details:

We will resolve the above described problems with the help of web
application named as Academic social network. Through this platform student
and teacher communication regarding a topic and we could easily keep track
of the learning of a particular student. We are implementing the above
described web application with the help of Node JS and MERN Stack.
