World War III is a computer as well as android game and main purpose of this game is to implement multicharacter behaviour with the help of multi agent artificial intelligence in first person shooter environment to assist the human player to increase its interest and enables the player to control more than one character and move forward in the entertainment industry to a whole new level. For implementation of multi agent behaviour, this game will be the first-person shooter desktop-based as well as android online game having three main environments in snow, desert and grassy for better simulation of overall around the world map. The three different environments will provide open world view of all type of environments in the world. The game will be online and players around the world can fight with each other while controlling more than one character in a single scene of game for their occupied places due to this, we named it as World War III.

Project Objectives

The primary objective includes research devising possible improvements in multiagent control system which helps the user to control more than one characters in a single scene of game while playing a battle against enemy or the other user online.

The project includes development of cloud-based profiles of the users which can be accessed at any time and from any device and android application of game by passing through authentication process.

The project includes development of software as an android as well as desktop application to provide the user an interface to interact with other online users as well as graphics for the battle against other users.

The project has to be a next step in entertainment and gaming industry toward innovation of artificial intelligence.

The profit of project has to be invested in gaming software house to implement and train youth of Balochistan to enable and help them and direct them towards technical education. Which can directly help to decrease poverty and unfair means of earning living for the youth of Balochistan. So, this indirectly helps Pakistan to decrease corruption and criminal activities in border areas.

Project Implementation Method

We will use the method of spiral model for development of this game. Spiral model is end user-oriented software engineering technique to build complex software. First of all, we will make a functional model which resembles the model of game and test it. If it is successful then we complete it and move towards another model. For example, we first make a character and its animations in 3D max for UI and test its animation and working in unity of it’s successful then we complete its implementation in game scene and move towards another UI element. This approach not only helps us to take out errors but also used to optimize our character making and other components creation techniques.

Overall game models will be created in the Autodesk 3d Max, then these models were integrated in unity to get them work and be controlled in our way. Other elements like terrains, VFX, fire effects, game controllers and networking has to be implemented in unity game engine. Artificial intelligence of game will be designed with the help of unity in the engine and its assets.

Benefits of the Project

As we know this project is based on entertainment industry and business idea and we know that online gaming zones is becoming one of the most rapidly increasing industry in all over the world. By 2010, the online game market is expected to reach $4.4 billion, up from $1.1 billion in revenues last year. That figure is based on interviews and estimates of different segments of the game industry including publishers, distribution services, casual Web-based services, and also derivative revenues like in-game advertising and commodity exchange. Supporting these revenues are PC gamers who spend an average of 18.5 hours per week playing games, and 70 percent of PC gamers take part in multiplayer mode online. In comparison, console gamers play an average 13.6 hours per week, portable games are played 8.9 hours on average, and mobile games about 4.6 hours. So, it is better to use that momentum and develop experts which can implement their creative ideas in the game because this project will be exploring new dimensions e.g. multicharacter behaviors in the game and Awareness, Motivation and attraction of users to the gamming field due to implementation of new dimensions of game industry in World War III.The profit of project has to be invested in gaming software house to implement and train youth of Balochistan to enable and help them and direct them towards technical education. Technical Details of Final Deliverable

All game models are being created in Autodesk 3D max (student version) as well as rigging and animations of characters and guns are created in this software. After modelling of all these models these have to be textured in the substance painter, I have to create three terrains for the game which are created in unity pro (game engine) using Gaia tool in unity. After terrain designing and texturing, we integrated models into that game engine and edit the scripts as usual. After this we had used ultimate character controller to get our characters be usable in the game. After successful integration of game characters in the game we used and tested our weapons ad designed physics system using simple physics Toolkit for the game to hit and hurt motions and other physical aspects of games including bullets. In parallel to physics system we had designed integration system using Interaction Kit to pick up weapons and hit systems in the game and other interactions as well. In this game ultimate VFX tool is used to create fire effect as well as air blow and snow as well.

After these steps the major parts comes in Artificial intelligence designer. To achieve our favourable AI in game we edited extreme AI personality Engine v2 in unity too create multiagent AI system in game. After creating AI we will integrate game with the networking module by using pony express networking system in unity. After networking game has to be implemented with help of Rucksack - Multiplayer Inventory System and uMMO in unity.
