Project Objectives

The main objective is the development of low-cost WTE for a stand-alone wind energy conversion system. Which can be used to analyze and assess the performance of Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS).

Project Implementation Method

A separately excited DC motor is deployed in order to reproduce the speed/torque, replacing the real wind turbine rotor and we are controlling the speed of Dc motor by using a driver circuit. Then after DC motor we are using the Three-Phase induction motor as a generator which will help us to convert mechanical energy into electrical but this energy will be in three phase. The three-phase full -bridge rectifier is used to convert that alternating in to direct current.  A user interface will be created using Deckcard through which the input parameters of the WTE can be altered in real time and the instantaneous effect can be observed by analyzing the output parameters

Benefits of the Project Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Wind turbine will be able to produce voltages at the generator side by varrying the speed of motor accordingly.The basic hardware consist of DC motor,AC induction motor,ac load and a driver circuit which can be easily install in lab and ver  cost effective as its prize estimation ranged from 40K to 50K.it will be able to minimize power losses that occur due to varrying wind speed.
