Scope:
Analyze the accident easily and to handle many problems related to car accident like crash litigation, insurance settlements.
Background:
Initially it was introduced as a flight recorder in an aircraft. Then further implementations are done time by time and it also works as device in an automobile that records information (such as speed, temperature, or gasoline efficiency) which can be used to monitor vehicle performance or determine a cause
in the event of an accident.
Project ObjectivesThe proposed system based on ARM microcontroller is found to be more compact, user friendly and less complex, which readily be used in order to perform several tedious and repetitive tasks. As various sensors are used to continuously monitor the various vehicle parameters which can create mishap and also remedies if accident occurs, by sending a message along with the GPS coordinates to the rescue team for help. This project also uses a memory storage device to continuously store the details obtained from the sensor like temperature value, alcohol content in the cabin, gas leakage content. Though it is designed keeping in mind about the need for industry, it can extended for other purposes such as commercial & research applications. Our project objectives are to deal with the following systems into a single system.

Project Implementation Methods
Data collection
- Behavior of driver: Drowsiness and alcohol detection of a driver will be detected by using the web camera.
- Driving data: Driving information such as speed, rash driving.
- Car status data: The car positions checked in real time by GPS.
Report Generation
Analyze the accident easily and to handle many problems related to car accident like crash litigation, insurance settlements. The database is maintained at the LabVIEW platform and the data will be report to the police station /insurance company through the GSM network. So this system resists the fake data to be record in the police station or in insurance settlement.

- After successful completion of this research the system that they can find the exact location of car and they can assist the driver by sending the mobile SMS or making the call to the family members, nearest police station and hospitals.

An innovative wireless black box using MEMS accelerometer with GSM module is developed for vehicle accidental monitoring. This system is designed as prototype black box function for recording the status of accelerometer which will be used in future for investigation purpose when met with an accident. The system detects type of accident from accelerometer signal using threshold algorithm, posture after crashing of vehicle. After accident is detected, short alarm message will be send via GSM network. The proposed system is there for use for prevention of accident occur and save
the life of human.
In conclusion, an innovative wireless black box using MEMS accelerometer and GPS tracking system has been developed for motorcycle accidental monitoring. The system can detect type of accident (linear and nonlinear fall) from accelerometer signal using threshold algorithm, posture after crashing of motorcycle and GPS ground speed. After accident is detected, short alarm massage data (alarm massage and position of accident) will be sent via GSM network. The system has been tested in real world applications using bicycles. The test results show that it can detect linear fall, non-linear fall and normal ride with no false alarm .
