Project Area of Specialization Biomedical EngineeringProject SummaryIn this project we are working on dummy patient to create real time scenarios to train Medical students which delivers different sounds according to different diseases in human heart and lungs. We will store different heart and lungs disease’s recorded sounds and we also show the waveforms of the disease’s on LCD then converting these sounds into radio frequency and transmit it through radio transmitter and these sound will received by multiple receivers at the same time.
Project ObjectivesThe objective of this project is to train Medical students.
- About the different sounds of human heart and lungs.
- To make a simulator on which groups of students can hear, study and interpret these sounds according to some common diseases of heart and lungs.
- Train students to differentiate between normal and diseased sounds of heart and lungs.
- To provide knowledge where these sounds is generated on human body.
- At start, you will select the option which you want to listen or examine.
- We use Arduino / Raspberry pi to generate these sounds.
- When you select the option, desire sounds is generated at the surface of the dummy.
- After that microphones is use to detect this sound and send it into the circuit where this analog signal convert into the radio frequency.
- Then RF signals will be purified from the artefacts by using filters.
- After that systems will sent this signal into the multiple receivers which is connected to the headphones where students listen this sounds easily.

Benefits of the projects are
- Both the hardware and the software for this simulator will developed for the Medical Training and Simulation.
- This project will provides a much more realistic training exercise than a traditional classroom lecture.
- We created mainly to improve cardiovascular bedside skills in medical personnel. By dummy the basic cardiac and pulmonary functions of the human body.
- This project will removing the risk of working on a real patient, simulators prepare medical students, or anyone else who uses the device, for real-world situations.
We will deliver the dummy patient simulator, few (4-5) multiple radio frequency receiver embedded stethoscopes and LCD which shows the waveform of diseases.
