Research on an Urdu Text-to-Speech system is going to be carried out in this project. Our application is a GUI based interactive system which would help the user to listen to the content in Urdu language. As we are living in Pakistan, Urdu is of great importance. As not much work is done on the Urdu language processing, we decided to build a prototypical application which will be capable of converting Urdu Text into Speech form. As we are moving to 2021 everyone deserves an equal opportunity in this era irrespective of their disability. Anyone who is blind will be able to hear any written text in Urdu Language.

Our system has two main features which are:
There is following features for text in our app.
Our app will have text Field that can take Urdu as an input.
User can paste text into text field. User can write text in the field.
By clicking on convert option, the text in the text field will be converted into speech.
After conversion of text into speech we can find that speech with following features.
That generated sound can be controlled like control the pitch of sound, speed and time of sound, control pausing and rewinding of sound.
We can download and play the sound.
We will deliver app which will take urdu text and will convert that text to speech. We will use Tacotron to generate speech, and run deep neural networks algorithms on our project.
Modules to be built
Preparing the data and building a converter. The task involves defining the scope, training, tuning and testing of the system for conversion of Text into Speech form.
Learn and use the toolkit/API to build TTS System for the applications. Major tasks involved are defining the scope, conversion, training and testing.
Interface of the whole project will be implemented in Java. It will be paragraph level / sentence level / Word level conversion.
