Plants have been widely used for hair growth promotion since ancient times in Ayurveda, Chinese and Unani systems of medicine. The effect of extracts of Cuscuta reflexa Roxb. in testosterone-induced alopecia was reported. Cuscuta, commonly known as Dodder and Amar bail.
In the present study, the efficacies of the extracts of Cuscuta reflexa in promoting hair growth in cyclophosphamide-induced hair loss have been determined. Cuscuta reflexa will collect from different regions of the city for the study. Through some instruments the extraction of this plant is going to be done also before the extraction the washing of the plant is done. In the present study, the efficacies of the extracts of Cuscuta reflexa in promoting hair growth in cyclophosphamide-induced hair loss have been determined. Cuscutareflexa will collect from different regions of the city for the study. So for the extraction a few instruments are used like; Soxhlet Apparatus and for washing the water bath also the Filtration Assembly 1000ml.
Project Implementation MethodPlant Material: Cuscuta reflexa will collect from different regions of the city for the study.
Extraction: Plant extract will prepare in petroleum ether in Soxhlet apparatus. The solvent from the extract was eliminated under reduced pressure.
Chemicals: Petroleum ether and ethanol are required to purchase.
Animal: Twenty-Four male Swiss albino rats (3-4months age, 120-140 g) will be required for experiments.
Benefits of the ProjectIt concluded that extracts of Cuscuta reflexa shown to be capable of promoting follicular proliferation or preventing hair loss in cyclophosphamide-induced hair fall.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe extract is extracted from the plant " CUSCUTA REFLEXA" in ( raw) form for the application to induce the alopeciec condition or symptoms.
