Electronic wheel chair by using Dc-Dc boost converter
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryElectric wheelchair, also called electric-powered wheelchair, motorized wheelchair, or powerchair, any seating surface with wheels affixed to it that is propelled by an electrically based power source, typically motors and batteries. This project will involve the Designing and Development of a DC-to-DC type Boost Converter. In this sense the electric wheel chair will be controlled through Boost Converter with an aid of joystick.
Project Objectives•To design a DC-DC boost converter.
•To control the speed of motors by using DC-DC boost converter.
• To program the microcontroller for synchronization of input output commands.
Project Implementation Method•Selection of Wheel-Chair with appropriate DC motors, and designing of two Boost Converters (may be more) accordingly.
•Devising of entire control electronic circuit and power electronic circuits (converters) with interfacing between source and load for smooth power flow.
•Joystick control of complete hardware setup with regular duty cycle modulation methods of Boost converters for speed-variation/stopping/activation/direction-control of motor.

An electric wheelchair, in particular, provides increased independence due to it's ease-of-use and the ability to travel without experiencing fatigue. However, even a manual wheelchair provides additional flexibility for the user and their carer.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAt this stage of time Electronic Wheelchair making with the help of h-bridge circuit but in this project we changing the circuite H-bridge to Dc-Dc boost converter to boost up the voltages and single battery source use.Due to this total wieght of the Electronic Wheelchair decreases.
