The smart grass cutter system puts forth a completely automated lawn mover mechanism. The robotic vehicle is equipped with a grass cutter blade that allows for grass cutting at high RPM. The system has a smart functionality that allows it to cover the complete area of a lawn or garden by detecting hurdles using ultrasonic sensor.
This efficient system uses a microcontroller based circuit in order to achieve this functionality. It is a battery operated system. Also the system uses a solar panel to demonstrate the charging of battery. The microcontroller operates the vehicle movement dc motors as well as the grass cutter at the same time as monitoring the ultrasonic sensors.
The microcontroller smartly operates the dc motors using the motor driver to achieve desired movement based on ultrasonic and IR sensors inputs.
Thus this system allows for fully automated grass cutting system without the need for any human intervention.

Implementation Method:
This section will cover the process involved in the making of the “Smart solar grass cutter”. The process involved in the making of project is very important so that all the process will be done smooth without any difficulties. The processes involved are under changes due to unexpected changes or complications.
The flow development of the project is divided into three parts, which are study about solar energy and basic lawn mower, hardware and coding of the project. Hardware part of the project is to make connections and joint all the components to make prototype.
In this electricity is produced when sunlight falls on the solar cells causing the electrons moving around them. The solar panel is kept at an angle perpendicular to sun rays such that maximum rays falls on the panel, energy receiving from sun used to produce electricity and stored in a battery.
Electrical energy of the battery is converted to mechanical energy through set of blades designed to achieve cutting. When the power is switch on, the electrical energy from the battery powers motor which in turn actuates the blades.
Finally software part is the Arduino software in compiling and uploading the program code in the Arduino Uno board, using USB Cable . The Arduino operates the vehicle movement dc motors as well as the grass cutter at the same time as monitoring the ultrasonic sensors. The arduino smartly operates the dc motors using motor driver IC to achieve desired movement based on ultrasonic ans IR inputs.
