Shopping Mall's and market is a big corner for customers to purchasing the daily requirement like branded food item, snacks, cloths materials, electric and electronics devices etc. Now a days, a maximum number old shopping malls are available large as well as small in the world. The public was demand & spending more time in shopping mall. After purchasing a long time, the customers waste of unnecessary time at the billing counter for billing the purchased item .To overcome these problems and to change and improve the existing system, we have designed a SMART SHOPING CART. This can be done by simple attaching a system with the cart. In this system customer will have to know the price of each item that is scanned with the help of RFID and LCD, total price of the item will be displayed in LCD and also brief about the product.

Project Objectives

In this project, we will work on a RFID based smart shopping cart. As you know ,shopping in super market has become a great hustle. Customer get angry and bored by waiting in long queues. The best way to avoid is by making an automatic billing system which can save the time of customer as well as decrease the working load at super markets. This great product will revolutionize the shopping world by lightning speed. Also, in pandemic situations like COVID- 19, we would not have to go to towards lockdown as this will greatly reduce human interaction and make shopping area a much safer place.

Project Implementation Method

The proposed system uses RFID technology. We will attach every item with radio frequency identification tag which can then be read by RFID reader. As a result, bill is generated in the cart itself and is displayed on the LCD which saves the time of customer. The main advantage of RFID reader is that it can read multiple tags at a time.

Benefits of the Project

The smart shopping cart would be a revolutionary item in every super market of every city of every country. It will contain a RFID reader which will read RFID tags make a bill and customer would be able to automatically pay without having to wait in a queue. Also there will be a LCD attached which will show the number of items, total bill and option for removing items.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
