SMART SHOPPING CART
In super markets and Hyper markets, shopping trolley are a must. Our project, the RFID smart trolley we have an RFID reader which detects the prices on the products when it is swiped in front of the RFID reader. This information is sent to the counter where the bill for the whole items to be purchased is calculated and added up. In this way when the shopping is done and the customer reaches the counter, the total bill is generated.
Aims:
The basic aim of our project is to come up with a viable and working concept of a supermarket trollies that can be used by the customer. The other aim is to learn the programing language for the use of our trolley which is using the Raspberry PI for the detection of product price via RFID card reader and also the built in WI FI conveys the information to the laptop of the cash counter. Lastly, we have to get better information making this trolley by the wiring of the electronics and the interfacing of the software with the hardware.

Our project the smart trolley is an up gradation of the conventional supermarket trollies which has a microprocessor which is the Raspberry PI. The purpose of this microprocessor is to take information of the product price through the RFID reader card reader and convey the information to the cash counter to generate the total bill of the items purchased by the customer. It also takes the information from the Arduino which is connected with the load cell to take the weight of the trolley as the weight increases by the amassing of the products. It then displays the prices and types of products on the LCD fixed on the trolley and also on the cash counter for the generation of the bill.
After the completion and testing of our project we know that we have developed a product which has achieved its required goals. The best part of it was that the whole project was completed in an economical way and coasted less then we presumed.
Also made it gesture control trolley.
The tests on the system were carried out and five different items were pasted with the tags. All the items when swapped showed the Prices as well as the item names on the LCD of the trolley and also on the sale counter which was a laptop used by us and the bill was added as soon as the item increased but if the items were put inside the trolley without swapping then the alar bleep would sounded.But new innovation to gesture control trolley.
