As the poultry industry is growing in Pakistan, there are some problems arising in it. One of the main issue is controlling environment of the farm,which effect the poultry heath, like  some main issues of poultry farm are temperature, humidity and gasses. Due to uncontrolled environment, mortality of chicks increase and farmer face loss. 

Our project is to measure temperature, humidity and gasses and control as well. This project is a combination of hardware and software which will initiate the action automatically to analyze the environmental parameters according to preset standards, if there are any changes in parameters which exceed the presets system will generate information to database that will be access through Android Application.

This will work real time and in case any parameter exceed from their standard values it will genrate a beep, also send a notification to farmer just for getting attention of farmers and automatically start cooler or heater machines as required , for example if temprate low it will on heater and if temperature exceed it will on cooler to maintain temperature 

This IoT-based low cost system will be beneficial for farmers to maintain their farm environment and save chicks life to generate handsome profit.

Project Objectives

The objectives of the project is to monitor control the affect of environment change in the  poultry form using sensors that can detect

1. Current Atmospheric Temperature

2. Humidity

3. Air Quality

4. Light Intensity

5. Soil Moisture

The system will use sensor-readings of these parameters and automate relevant parameters for poultry farm, automatic cooling supply, switch light on off and others.

The main aim of this project is to reduce the human effort and increase production as well as controlling the environment of farm.

Project Implementation Method

The project will use data collected from various sensors, store the data into secure database, and display using interactive graphs. We are going to analyse the data to develop a smart decision support system. The sensors that are required are:

DHT 22 sensors that measure the Temperature and Humidity locally based on esp32 microcontroller.

It will calculate temperature and humidity at run time if the temperature goes to below of its requirements it will turn on heater for maintain temperature, in case

Temperature goes increase of it position the cooling fan will be on and maintain temperature of farm which is best for chicken farming.

MQ-2 Gas & Smoke Sensor,this will dected air quality of the form and if its going bad it genrate a beep to awear the farmer.

YL69 soil moisture sensor or the hygrometer is usually used to detect the humidity in soil. it is perfect to build an automatic floor moisture of  poultry farm.

A photoresistor (or light-dependent resistor, LDR, or photo-conductive cell) is a light-controlled variable when the dawn time it will sense there is low light for feeding chicks then it automatically on the lights of farm.

It will save energy while if people forget to turn off in the day light it automatically switch off lights.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We are going to deliver a smart  poultry farm system that will control environment automation with attached sensors and a friendly dashboard displaying graphical visualisations.

The details of the proposed sensors are:

A photoresistor (or light-dependent resistor, LDR, or photo-conductive cell) is a light-controlled variable resistor. The resistance of a photoresistor decreases with increasing incident light intensity; in other words, it exhibits photoconductivity.

Dashboard:

The sensors dashboard provides the user with a center point where they can view and control the connected sensors and actuators.

Information about the currently connected sensors/actuators.

A graph with data for each sensor/actuators.

A sensor/actuators property section.

Breadboard is the main hub of all the sensors

We configured the sensors in such a way that it gives us the understandable values All the values are then shown in form of graphs in website and in android application in labeled form.
