we are going to built the incubator for newly born infant babies which will provide all the facilities that are available in a standard infant incubator, keep considering its low cost so that it can be purchased at any medical and health care center level for the better treatment of those newly born infant babies.

Project Objectives

Our Aims and objectives are:

  • To make an industrial standard incubator.
  • Digitally controlled.
  • Low cost.
  • Good quality service.
  • Have all the features which are mentioned in problem statement.

Project Implementation Method

First of all  we have studied about the incubators. The control circuit of  incubator is aurdino based logging and used  sensors (humidity, temperature, oxygen etc). we will also add some features in it to make it industrial standard incubator by introducing the internally data logging in it and  by implementing self-testing features in it and also the diagnostic tools for it. We will also make a standby device that will act as independent observer in that incubator that will continuously observes the performance of  incubator. This device will also be aurdino based and have all sensors that incubator have. It will get inputs from sensors and perform action and gives output. Firstly We will makes the block diagram  by keeping in mind the start of our project. Then coding of the aurdino and then its physical implementation.

Benefits of the Project

The enhancement features which we are going to introduce in the incubator can be used in any incubator for increasing its reliability. For example if a baby is died during his/her treatment in an incubator, the standby monitoring system will be a source of evidence for the actual situation of baby before death. If there will be any fault in the incubator, it can also be detected through that system. Also data logging will be a source of the past readings of different sensors and it can also be helpful for the treatment of baby. So finally we can say that we will be able to get a very reliable incubator in a very low cost after the completion of this work.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The electronic circuitry of the project includes electronic components and specific sensors to read data from incubator environment, interfacing with microcontroller and displaying on LCD regard with set points. The design of the project is simple, feasible and user friendly according to the application.
