the project is based on software and hardware and will provide to farmers to get monitoring of agriculture to increase the competence of certain farming activities by linking a smart sensing system our system focuses on the measurement of physical parameters such as soil moisture content, ph of the soil, humidity, temperature and the assessment of leaf area index (LAI), a very important trees parameter. The agriculture industry could be further developed by employing new technologies, in particular, the internet of things(IoT). We hope this work will show the power of IoTas a disruptive technology helping across multi industries including agriculture;

  3. Single Dashboard for Monitoring and Management of 100s & 1000s of banana orchard farms.
  4. Business status at a glance such as profit, loss, production.
  5. Monitoring from anytime, anywhere.
  6. No need of trained Staff
  7.  Real-time triggers in SMS, emails, Notifications to take immediate actions
  8.  Real-time Water Quality Monitoring like soil  Moisture, TDS, humidity &Temperature
  9. Real-time monitoring of required banana orchard , panama disease through Infrared nitrous oxide gas sensor
  10. Gas Detector detects gases and their levels,  N2O NITROUS OXIDE
  11. Intelligent data collection and analysis to improve effectiveness
  12. Displays Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  13. Energy consumptions monitoring & performance
  14. Reporting mechanism to view & compare strategies and planning, with previous production cycles
  15. PEMS provide analytics about the diseases their causes, levels & preventive actions recommendations

Project Implementation Method

The project implementation will be based on following flow:

  1.  Product development of devices to meet international       standards for commercial
  2.  R&D required for some advanced features like automatic measuring the temperature, humidity, soil moisture
  3. Proper setup for Marketing this solution for national and international companies
  4. Global Sales setups to target sales in banana orchards farming countries
  5. Setup for Operational, infrastructure and managerial departments Infrastructure and Cloud team and resources management.

Smart Farming Monitoring system will provide following benefits:

  • One window and central monitoring operations of 100s & 1000s banan orchards  farms
  • To provide approach to farmers for working with pro-active     approaches

  • smart farming allows farmers to maximize yields using minimum resources Such as water, fertilizers and seeds
  •  Increase growth of their farming with healthier environment for banana orchards
  • To provide proper check& balance to their workers
  • Solar powered and mobile operated pumps save cost of electricity
  • it delivers high quality crop production
  • it impacts on economy of the country to increase export.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The system is fully based on 4th Industrial revolution based technologies like IoT, Big-Data and Artificial Intelligence. The project technical flow will be as under;

  • On physical layer various types of sensors and detectors will be used to sense the environmental attributes
  • Microprocessor will be used to collect those sensing data from various sensors, this will be used as edge devices to get data on ground and push on cloud
  • There would be gateway used, that will provide secure, reliable & authorized connectivity with physical and cloud layer
  • There will be a cloud which will be capable to hold highly frequent data from edge devices from various farms
  • There would be front application to access all banana orchard farming systems for central monitoring
  • Real-time notifications will be pushed for environmental information and abnormal conditions of the farm.
